Only green glass
A fragrance that bears the name of emerald fills me with hope of discovering a dark, mysterious, and alluring perfume.
However, nothing in this perfume reminds me of the mysterious sparkle of an emerald. On the contrary, the scent starts off bright and zesty, becoming loud and pouring a whole cornucopia of flowers over me. It’s not even the jasmine, which in the original is more oily-creamy and heavy. Here, the orange blossom once again screams at me, which has already bothered me in various mainstream perfumes. This is not really precious, not extraordinary, and not even the tuberose provides a satisfying recognition value for me.
La Route d`Emeraude only becomes beautiful and harmonious for me in the base, which, however, is not so spectacular that I would want to have the fragrance desperately.
Those who love bright floral scents and are not solely focused on finding an extraordinary fragrance will surely feel comfortable with this perfume. It exudes a cheerful mood and carefree elegance. Well, the expected emerald jewelry is just costume jewelry, but even that has its admirers. However, I do not belong to that group.
