D E R - Fresh Fragrance!!!

Until 4 weeks ago, I had never heard of the brand Jul et Mad, which is probably better known among women; I had to look it up online to find out who they are. I thought it was a new line from Juliette has a gun!
No... completely different brand and a whole different price range! "My" donna italiana at the discount perfume shop had introduced me to Essence of Central Park and Aqua Sixtius (according to the Jul et Mad website, the Latin name for Aix-en-Provence) right under my nose 4 weeks ago. Both are absolute hits!!!! It's simply amazing how much intuition and expertise the staff there possess.
Aqua Sixtius is the only perfume I know that withstands temperatures over 35 degrees and clings to the skin. All other fragrances are "washed away" after 60 minutes in this 6-week heat and dryness (someone should really stop complaining about the German summer; I'll personally wring their neck!). It's really high time for autumn to arrive or at least for the heat to significantly subside.
Aqua Sixtius is, for me, alongside Central Park, the fresh fragrance of 2015! The scent starts with a wonderful citrus note, bitter, fresh, slightly green, and with minimal sweetness. More like grated lemon peels a la Scaloppina al limone, with equal parts bergamot and a splash of bitter grapefruit. Almost simultaneously, maritime notes, green notes of pine needles, eucalyptus, and mint come into play. I have rarely experienced better, fresher, and more authentic notes than in this fragrance. No Salina, Acqua di Sale, Aria di mare, Mare Nostrum, etc. can compare... not even any other fragrance I know in this scent direction.
With Aqua Sixtius, the highest quality (Extrait de Parfum) and balance drip from every pore, a perfect interplay! No unchanging salt scent wall like with Profumum Roma, no salty-algal Salina, no citrus-happy Oltremare. Aqua Sixtius is absolutely independent and outstanding.
I believe there is no better fragrance in the height of summer. This scent Olympus has, of course (unfortunately), its price; 150€ for 50ml (Extrait) is reasonable, but it's still a significant statement that initially made me gulp and flinch. The so-called "Stilettos" (20ml) are available for around 90 Euros:-)!
Regarding longevity, the citrus notes lose some of their brilliance, making the fragrance appear increasingly bitter and saltier. This is a significant advantage over Aqua di Sale for me, as that one remains unchanged for hours and eventually starts to annoy me.. in direct comparison, Aqua Sixtius is significantly more elegant and refined. Simply because it has considerably more facets, as the cool, bitter oak moss and soft musk perfectly round off the fragrance to the base.
The longevity under these conditions is absolutely great (one should somehow expect that for the price); after 7 hours, it is still quite perceptible. At more moderate temperatures, it should last 8-9 hours. The sillage is quite strong in the first 2 hours, as eucalyptus and mint are simply noticeable everywhere and immediately. With this fragrance, you can breathe deeply like with an essential oil without reminding you of a sauna infusion. For me, there can only be one rating: a crystal-clear and smooth 100!!!! It is boldly and prominently on my wish list for 2016, just like Central Park, which doesn't score quite as high in longevity.

Curious now and trusting your excellent comments, I just ordered the fragrance as a coffret from Schlossparfumerie.
I'm excited to see...

I completely agree - especially regarding the reduction of current daily high temperatures.

From start to finish, the oak moss bothers me, and that doesn't allow for an objective assessment for me; I definitely don't want to smell that on (my) man. But: Trophy +

Since summer is still going on for a while, it's probably time for a review this year. And Central Park... bought it in May and it's almost empty now... my (summer) discovery of 2015...

Point 1, I like your comment. Point 2: I don't know the brand either. Point 3: scents last really well on me in summer, but I still want autumn...

JoHannes showed me the brand a few weeks ago, but I didn't really like this Amour Palazzo thing. This one sounds much better :-)

Well, don't complain too much, it's pretty hit or miss up here. And it's still called Germany.

It could very well be that the light sweetness comes from the fig, similar to Panorama!

Sounds very exciting - although given the current temperatures, every description like this has to score points *wink*. I’d love the scent even more if fig and green notes played a really important role. Euphoric trophy!
