So here it is, the successor to Jacomo for Men, which unfortunately is far too unknown
even here on Parfumo. The predecessor is a really great fragrance. It has since been
discontinued, but can still be found online here and there. Its Achilles' heel
was unfortunately the weak longevity and sillage.
Now there is an Intense version, but with a completely different fragrance pyramid.
A nice Parfumo user pointed out to me that Jacomo is sending out samples.
Since the fragrance unfortunately has not yet been released in Germany, I wrote an email
directly to Jacomo in France and lo and behold, a week later I had the sample in
my mailbox :-)
I was very curious to see what the fragrance would be like and whether the H&S had been adjusted.
To cut to the chase: The sillage and longevity are really better. I am very
satisfied with it. It lasts about 7-8 hours on my skin and projects well.
The fragrance itself is damn great!
You mainly smell something citrusy in the top note, mixed with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Delicious! I'm telling you!
Later, the orange blossom and a slight anise note join in. The whole thing is
underlined with woodiness. Really well done.
A fragrance where you constantly have your wrist in your face... you know what I mean ;-)
The bottle is like the original, just in black... a real eye-catcher.
Heavy glass and a high-quality metal cap.
The fragrance is best suited for autumn/winter, but also in the evenings during spring
and summer when the temperature has dropped a bit.
If you want to test it too, then write an email directly to Jacomo.com, or
wait until it is released in Germany.
The wait is definitely worth it.
A really great fragrance that could be a hit with the right marketing...
Here is the fragrance pyramid from the internet:
Top: Cedar, Pepper, Pineapple Leaf
Heart: Coffee, Nutmeg, Plum
Base: Tonka, Amber, Vetiver
Yes, the wait is worth it, and the longevity and sillage are actually better than the original.
