Most wearable of the One Man Show line

One Man Show Emerald Edition is dirt cheap but a great fragrance. It's the easiest of the One Man Show line to wear - to put it another way, it's got the least rough edges of the lot. After the brash opening, it settles down quickly into a herbal - leather - woody smooth, masculine scent that is really nice with surprisingly good performance for such a low cost. If a guy is looking for a safe introduction to leather/woody scents, Emerald Edition is an easy way to do it because the leather and cedar notes are quite tame. Emerald Edition can easily work at any time of the year, day or night. It's a very basic, pleasant masculine scent.

The Emerald Experience

It's true that everyone has their own taste… But there are facts that are facts.

This fragrance is a perfect addition to the line and has the signature dna of the collection. That is a fact: You smell it blindly and - if you know the other flankers - you'd probably say:

- It's a "One Man Show."

… And a really good one. This “Emerald Edition” is fresh, herbal and sweet in just the right amount, which makes it perfectly wearable into spring; perhaps it has less projection than others OMS, although the scent is intense at medium distance and it's very long lasting.

Only Jacques Bogart smells like Jacques Bogart: Let's be clear, these aren't fragrances for the average Joe… And they aren't fragrances for the snooty elitist, either. Jacques Bogart 's real customer is actually a “fragrance aficionado” who belongs to a specific “niche”… And yes, you read that word right.

Maybe you can sneakily smell it and swear you don't like it, or try to deny it spouting the impertinent word "synthetic" (especially in perfumery, the paradigm of a chemical epiphany…). Perhaps Jacques Bogart fragrances aren't art; maybe what they are it's just olfactory porn.

But well, I’m delighted to add the newer OMS to my collection; Jacques Bogart fragrances always have something bold and differentiating; they’re brave and honest. Not much else to think about, just order it…

Synthetic Spicy Greenery

After trying several fragrances from the One Men Show series, I must undoubtedly acknowledge that they are solid across the board. The Emerald is no exception.

It strongly reminds me of the Green Show, but it is a bit deeper and spicier. The Green Show is quite synthetic in comparison... of course, it doesn't come close to the original One Men Show, but it is a good all-rounder!

Now let's talk about the fragrance notes.

In the opening, basil dominates with the resin, which brings a very synthetic note that quickly fades away.

As we move into the heart, the spices become more prominent, with cedarwood in the middle instead of the drydown like in most fragrances, and nutmeg stands out here.

Unfortunately, patchouli and labdanum round it all off...

In the end, it's a solid cheapy. With a synthetic green opening that then becomes spicier and transforms into a modern designer scent...

It's doable. But it's nothing groundbreaking...

Longevity is okay, projection is strong for the first two hours, then it becomes more intimate, while still providing a pleasant sillage for several hours.
Overall, you can get by with it for about 6 hours.

About Alligators and Crocodiles....

Well, herpetology would be completely out of place here if this Bogart weren't so interestingly unusual, green, and brownish shimmering. It has an olfactory "grid structure" like the skin of these imposing creatures. And it possesses great "biting power," meaning endurance and radiance. Its entire shape has something subtly tangible that reminds one of moist, textured "leather." The bright green of the basil herb blends like a melange with the "scruffy" violet of violets, the dark, "nutty" brown of nutmeg, and the bitter resins of the elemi tree. Its bark structure, in turn, recalls the skin of such a reptile.
The patchouli adds earthy strength and makes the scent "changeable"...
The smaller "crocodile" is increasingly becoming a large "alligator," which can present itself as quite cool and stiff, as well as very agile and supple. Depending on the phase of the fragrance and the outside temperature at which it is worn.
At the moment, it resembles an "alligator on a leash"... patient, vigilant, and ready to snap...
With a stubborn and powerful "bite"......
