I received a sample of 007 For Women 3 and tested it. When I see purple, I usually see red, as it often involves heavy and overwhelming scents. Therefore, I approached the test with caution and even factored in a potential migraine. But it turned out quite differently than I expected.
The opening is quite lively and appealing, even though I didn’t catch any pineapple or papaya. Just a hint of an undefinable fruit, but very pleasant and softly flattering. Quickly, Ylang Ylang and Frangipani joined in, creating a very harmonious scent along with the opening. The dry down with benzoin, sandalwood, and patchouli rounded off the fragrance beautifully, especially since patchouli was incorporated very subtly. So, it’s by no means a bombshell like in the 70s.
The longevity for me is 4 hours, which is perfectly fine. I may prefer warmer scents in autumn/winter, but they must not overwhelm my surroundings. All of this applies to this fragrance and makes it an elegant scent for the cold season. Also, the migraine did not occur, so Women 3 will be joining my collection.
