Very helpful Review
Spring lets its blue ribbon…..
Thanks to a dear parfumista, spring has recently moved in with me. Actually, Jasmin Lilas doesn't fit my fragrance profile at all, but in this weather, I am just longing for this huge bouquet of lilacs that stands in an oversized, bulbous, white porcelain vase on the wooden table in the middle of the room.
The delicate curtains sway in the warm, airy spring breeze that occasionally wafts through the open window. Again and again, I want to bury my nose in the lilac-scented pearl blossoms and take a deep breath. The whole room is filled with their fragrance, a sunbeam falls on my face as I write this comment, and a feeling of happiness from my childhood creeps up my back and tingles at the nape of my neck…..
Ah, now I have awakened from my daydream. I sit on the sofa with a thick, red-checkered scarf around my neck, cold feet, and a dripping nose from my cold, with the laptop on my lap, trying to coax some beautiful words from my fingers…
Jasmin Lilas is a fragrance that I will probably never wear, but it has a natural-fresh quality and, as you can read above, evokes associations.
In the top note, pineapple and melon are supposed to set the stage??? Far from it, they have long been overrun by lilac and lily of the valley. The two give no chance to any other components (not even the jasmine from the name), pulling through to the base. In the end, a hint of musk remains on the skin.
I don't ask for more. I just want to remember the lilac scent from my childhood, and this fragrance captures that beautifully….
And I await spring….
