I throw in the towel, I raise the flag, I lift my hands…
…. I give up. With "Scherrer," I literally cannot distinctly smell a single fragrance note. Inspired by the brave blind testers in the blog and Seerose's good example, I now write down what I think I smell first, only to compare my impressions with the pyramid at the end (often to my great surprise).
And with this scent, I can only raise my hands and say, "I surrender." The only thing I wrote down: "Citrusy-fresh-GREEN right at the beginning, resinous-spicy, mossy-spicy, not vanillic, unsweet! Still not bitter, definitely floral. Soapy-creamy. Beautifully old-fashioned." Very sparse, I know: Please don't laugh at me for this!
Even now, looking at the pyramid, I can't say much more about the fragrance components. But one thing I can tell you. After a week so filled that I constantly forgot what day of the week it actually was, and after the third very, very short night in a row due to work, I was looking for a scent this morning that envelops me, wraps me up, protects me, and lets me find peace. And "Scherrer" does this perfectly. Soft-spicy, this scent envelops me, and I breathe deeply, feeling serenity spreading within me, a leisurely walk past fragrant flowers and trees, cool mossy stones, clear bubbling springs - into the heart of the forest, to ancient trees, under their dense protective canopy where the scent of the forest floor, resins, and mosses is captured. Now I am fully in the present, with myself, enjoying - and the past week fades away, as if wiped away by magic, into the past. And I am sure: Tomorrow, you can come, I am ready for you, for all the new things you will bring me…
Thank you, Scherrer!

For me, Scherrer is also an example that it's completely pointless to lean on a pyramid. What do you smell???? Scherrer, of course, what else? *lol* Cheers!

That's quite a special blend. Some secrets should remain secrets. Best, C.

I really enjoyed reading this. I feel the same way about it: "embracing, enveloping, protective." A great fragrance.

A lovely comment! You don't always have to recognize all the notes. You described it well anyway.
