Compared to the vintage Eau de Toilette, this version is a bit less herbaceous-green and not as heavily focused on galbanum. However, the galbanum here - unlike in the current version of N°19 - is still quite noticeable. The gently bitter blackcurrant, oak moss, vetiver, and the flowers with their green leaves all contribute beautifully, creating a lovely spring/summer chypre for me... In the background, I also detect a bit of patchouli, which adds a slight warmth.
I have the "SA-Designer version" here, which is quite close to the vintage. When it comes to application, you shouldn't overdo it... Scherrer definitely has strength and longevity! ;-)
