A simple scent, indeed, but still, it has a distinctive character. As I said, back then, fresh, simple fragrances were often more unique than what鈥檚 offered today.
That's exactly how I remembered Ma Dame! The comparison of the formulas on the packaging shows that not much has changed. Lilial was removed, and Hydroxycitronellal was used instead. An antioxidant was taken out, a new UV filter was added, and an existing one was slightly increased in concentration. Some colorants were removed. All other ingredients, including the fragrance-relevant ones, remained in the same order as before.
Ma Dame reminds me of how characterful and unique even fresh scents used to be. Was everything really better back then? Probably not, but nostalgia is still a feeling I enjoy indulging in from time to time. Ma Dame is my nostalgia fix today!
