After seeing the prices for "Jessica Simpson," I am feeling more "lenient." I don't find the scent that bad. First off: "Jessica Simpson" is not a fragrance for me.
However, compared to other fruity scents, it has substance; in an indefinably fruity way, it is a creamy, delicious gourmand.
For an uncompromising gourmand, "Jessica Simpson" is surprisingly balanced. It is a mixed fruity sweetness neutralized by citrus notes, so it doesn't become cloyingly sweet, with a hint of green, a very subtle, also indifferent floral note with sandalwood, tonka, and vanilla, all moderately synthetic and developing into a pleasantly creamy texture. With a lot of goodwill, one can also perceive a hint of resinousness.
"Jessica Simpson" is not a sour fruit compote or a red berry pudding with vanilla sauce, but a well-composed, unified scent.
I applied "Jessica Simpson" and found it: Well, sweet fruits, like certain semi-liquid sticky fillings in chocolates, food for cavity bacteria and wonderful "incentives" for the dental nerves. I don't know if these kinds of chocolates still exist; I certainly haven't noticed them for decades, in a way.
However, when you read the pyramid here, you might think this is supposed to be an exotic scent.
But as always, I find fragrance notes like "night-blooming" jasmine, tiger lily, driftwood, and even white chocolate to be air numbers. You also have to imagine frangipani and individual fruits in your mind. They appear to me as pure, thus white fantasy. I have never understood what white chocolate is supposed to taste or smell like, except for the flavors that are added, like vanilla or vanillin. After all, it is only made from cocoa butter with sugar and milk; it completely lacks the cocoa aroma. I find white chocolate to be bland.
It is best to forget these bombastic scent suggestions; if you like fruity scents and gourmands, then "Jessica Simpson" is just right.
The longevity is good, the sillage moderate, and it is a feminine scent.
