Mystifying and Classic
Little gold flecks in a flacon that sits in a misty cloud-like base. What an interesting come-on for a perfume. But does Jivago 24K deliver?
In many respects, yes, it does. Its’ opening is strong and thick, heavy with its’ aldehydes-fog and an incense-like flair. Little gold flecks actually spray out onto your skin along with the juice of the absolutely stunning bottle. The flecks are minute and on my fair skin, barely noticeable. It seems one or two spray out at a time, so really it’s a moot point. This is not a “glitter” perfume for the younger set to wear clubbing. Don’t buy Jivago 24K for that idea.
There is a creaminess to the notes of 24K that remind me of a thick, thick batter that you’d ‘fold’ with a spatula instead of stirring with a spoon. A church’s incense comes to mind when I inhale this perfume. Its’ richness could be called stuffy or the dreaded “old-lady”, but it’s not that at all. This is a scent not so much of complexities, but of notes that are quite syrupy, dense and powdery when combined.
I imagine the only reason the phrase “old-lady” would be used is if a person that tries this perfume is geared towards today’s fruity concoctions isn’t familiar with what a classic perfume smells like they will be put off by the classic aroma. If someone is looking to smell like bubblegum, they will certainly be turned off.
If, on the other hand, you want to travel back to an era of ladies when they actually were ladies, when women desired to be women, in all their animalic glory dressed to the nines, then try this one on for size. You won’t be disappointed. This is a perfume for women who are adults, who know perfume, and know how and when to use it. This is a perfume for a person who owns not just one bottle, but rather, many bottles because they know when, where and how to use all of those different flankers. Just as that woman knows how to be suggestive. As she knows how to wear various types of clothing.
Ultimately 24K drips down to an earthiness courtesy of its orris root notes laces with its strong tuberose. This is not a perfume for the masses, not at all. 24K is elegant and refined. A perfume worn to a fine restaurant, a gallery opening, a wedding. Sillage can be strong if over-sprayed, very little is needed for the right effect. Longevity is excellent.
According to their website,”Bulgarian Rose induces thoughts of loving affection and peaceful harmonious vibration. Asian Jasmine is worn for blessings, protection and good luck. Tuberose Absolute is calms and is used as a spiritual stimulator.” I’d rather think of it as a mystifying perfume. It’s different in today’s world.

Gold Dust of the Fairy Mother
The bottle stands majestically on a heavy, matte glass base. Inside the flask are gold flakes that dance and swirl when you turn it. Like a snow globe for perfume. It is not a spray; you have to turn the bottle so that the liquid flows into the catch tube under the sprayer, then you can spray. This is just a note for those who do not like this system.
If you are not a tuberose type, be warned, it packs a punch and could be too much for delicate noses.
Thus, the opening is indeed spectacular. The rose hardly gets a word in or at best manages only a whisper. The concentrated white flower power from the heart note with jasmine and tuberose would flatten everything else. These two set the tone, and it is quite loud. On my skin, the scent is a bit softer than on fabric, yet it is very intense on both surfaces and could cause headaches if overapplied. However, if you choose the dose wisely, it will only cause heads to turn among those who perceive it and seek its source. A very elegant, feminine scent, very self-assured and warm. Over time, it softens a bit with amber, but it is still not a skin-close scent. It spreads its power freely into the air, unstoppable, incessantly, and incredibly noble. Noble is not only the look but also the content. The sillage is definitely intense, and the longevity is out of this world. Thus, I find the comparison with mythical creatures fitting. This Jivago is not of this world. A world nearby, but only reachable by a secret path. Only a few know it. Those who step onto the other side are overwhelmed by green, white, and gold. Floral scent fills the air, making it impossible to perceive anything else. You are instantly dazzled by the colors and brightness, and the swirling aura clouds the senses. But if you manage to concentrate a bit and get your eyes accustomed to the dazzling scenery, you can see them. The little, pointy-eared fairy beings that float through the air and go about their tasks. Their wingbeats fan the scent around, and soon you find yourself entranced once again. I just see how the fairy mother approaches me gracefully and swings her magic wand. She draws a trail of gold dust with it, which settles on my face. And now I find myself back in my place, still writing my comment. Wow, what a scent, what an experience! I love to enter the fairyland again and again, not every day but rather for special occasions or when I need some extra "poise." In spring, autumn, and winter, it is even more beautiful. In summer, however, the fairy mother comes too close with her magic wand and regularly knocks me out.

Goldig....)
Many years ago, my passion was collecting perfume miniatures. And one day, this beautiful bottle became part of my collection. Back then, it cost a staggering 20 marks, my most expensive miniature. Nowadays, the little bottle costs around 50 euros. True collectors, however, do not use the miniatures, but I have used them all, though I haven't finished any. Although the bottle is already very old, the scent remains irresistible. Fresh, sweet-floral. Unfortunately, I am not a perfumer who could describe this scent better, but perhaps someone else will.

First a typical vintage women's scent in a charming bottle. Then long-lasting, cozy tuberose. Powdery, ambered, subtly animalistic.

Sensual amber-tuberose. Love at first sniff! Seductive. Sexy. Warm. Almost a softer alternative to Narcotic Venus!

A very prominent tuberose that overshadows jasmine, rose, and iris. Amber softens the scent a bit. Not an average fragrance - a scent for strong women who love tuberose.
