Joop! My Love

I tried Joop! Homme as a teenager and thought it was great. Back then, I only wore men's fragrances on the sly because I thought that as a woman, you weren't "allowed" to (thankfully, that's different today). Yesterday I tried the scent again and thought I was going to fall off my stool after first smelling it: a headache note of an overbearingly sweet and pungent potpourri that made me dread it. Could my memory have deceived me so?

After a few moments, the alcohol, which was probably responsible for the pungent accord, was gone. What remained was an enchanting blend, of which I perceived a floral tone with vanilla, patchouli and tonka bean. Now I remember why I loved Joop! Homme so much. My nose is not yet trained to the point where I can smell out individual components perfectly, but this unity of sweetness, light spice and something dark did it for me. The perfume lasts a very long time, which I especially love. I could notice it on my skin for about eight hours or even longer. For me, this is a wonderful fragrance that I find suitable for both genders. I find the sillage to be stronger than body-appealing, but not too overbearing.

For me, a great fragrance for going out in the evening, it can also be nice in everyday life. For work I would find him too intense
