Before I say anything about this fragrance, I want to mention how much its predecessor influenced me and sparked the enthusiasm for scents that I still pursue to this day. My father always had Joop Homme with him, and when I was around 15-16 years old, I would often treat myself to a few sprays from his bottle. Even years later, when he wore it, I never got tired of the scent. Years later, this fragrance was released, and I was completely hyped, wondering how it might smell. So, I bought this fragrance sometime last year with high expectations since its predecessor had such an impact on me. The first sprays gave me a wow effect. I remember, I went to my father the same day, and he immediately noticed my scent (without me saying anything). When I mentioned that it was the Joop scent he always wears, just in a "more modern" version, he said I should get it too. (Which would be okay; he looks younger than he is, and he is a restaurateur, so it fits!). So, about the fragrance.. What I really like about this scent is that it has the synthetic/fruity DNA of its predecessor while still bringing its own distinct nuances. It is modern and yet retains the playfulness of its predecessor. The longevity and sillage are very good but not comparable to its predecessor in its prime. I can only recommend it. P.S. This fragrance reminds me of how quickly time passes. Perhaps it is also the nostalgia behind the scent that makes me feel so good when I smell it.
