Great fresh flanker with good longevity

Once again, a great cheapie. The brand Joop has already reached a bargain-bin level in many perfume stores, and online this brand is available at drugstore prices. Some releases are rather insignificant, but there are a few good scents among them. The brand's best days are behind it, and it mainly lives off classics like Joop Homme, of course. The original Wow! for Men Eau de Toilette wasn't too bad either, but for me, this scent was too weak, and the competition among sweet-spicy fragrances is significantly higher. Here we get a freshie as EdT Fresh. A really great cheapie that you can already get for under €20 and is absolutely top if you like fresh violet scents. In my opinion, it's quite underrated for this price-performance ratio.

The box is white-orange and quite stylish. The bottle is also fairly solid, but the cap is extremely cheap. It's not a real cap, but rather a circle that you press on top and pull off. It could have been made nicer. But the content matters, especially in this price range.
The scent, as mentioned, offers a great violet fragrance that is noticeably fresher than the other releases in this line. You can tell that this is a flanker, and the name EdT Fresh fits perfectly. Of course, it also has the lovely sweetness of the original, but it is significantly refreshed. Due to this freshness, this scent takes on a different character and is also much more versatile. Even though Fahrenheit is listed as a similar scent here: The only thing these two fragrances have in common is the violet note; otherwise, not much. I really like violet combined with fresh notes and a subtle sweetness. This one delivers. The violet note is accompanied by a citrusy freshness and a pleasant classic lavender note that radiates warmth. Additionally, there's a nice vanilla sweetness and a gentle geranium that pairs wonderfully with the violets. Overall, it's not a complex scent, but a scent with character. The scent progression is rather linear, although the base becomes a bit sweeter and more sensual. Otherwise, there is little scent development.
I have to disagree with most regarding performance: It is really good for me, even significantly better than the heavier original. The sillage is good at first and then goes to moderate before it fades close to the skin after over 10 hours. Top and perfect for everyday wear without needing to reapply. I was a bit surprised when I got to know this scent earlier.

Worth it if you like violets. A scent with character and very pleasing due to this fresh-sweet refreshment of the original.
