Don't overlook this.
Purchased from : Bealls
Price Paid : $7.99
Bottle Size : 3.4 oz
Method : Left fist
The top notes remind me of a very swanky cologne I've smelled at a Sephora before, but I can't quite place it. It definitely smells 10x its price point. There's woodiness, some licorice root, ivy, and bergamot/citrus here. It's fairly pleasant and pretty strong.
Edit : I've got it. It's Acqua Di Gio EDT. Jordache takes dead aim at this cologne. I've now got the ADG EDT on my right hand and the J-Stone on the left. I can barely tell a difference. More distinguished noses may be able to suss out more significant differences, but to me it's close enough to fool me. The Jordache is slightly woodier, and the ADG is slightly more floral and sweet....though close enough in the other notes.
(For kicks I also sprayed Perry Ellis 360 Red and that's more different to both of these than it is similar. Wow. Move over 360 Red, there's a new clone in town.)
It dries down pretty much the same as the opening with more emphasis on bright white citrus (white grapefruit, bergamot). The woodiness gets stiff and more potent. Projection is medium-plus. I get a solid whiff 3-4" off the skin.
The longevity is very good and stands up to sweat amazingly. A week ago I took this to the gym with me on my left arm, and on my right arm I had sprayed Kenneth Cole Blue and in another area Izod Breeze. The Jordache Stone was louder than the other two combined after my sweaty session.
I get about 2.5 hours out of this.
Overall, this was something I bought for cheap (retail therapy) and forgot about, but now that I know that this is basically ADG EDT I'm going to use it all the time.
Nobody's talking about this one.
