When it came out, I immediately added it to my list of perfumes to watch for as I knew I'd be searching for a nice tropical summer perfume when the time would come. I also hadn't given up on finding a perfume that contained coconut without that functional aspect of sunscreen. This one came as a GWP while buying something at Sephora and I do not regret choosing it as my GWP. It's (up until now) the tropical cocktail I've been searching for all along.
At the beginning, there's this sweet, creamy coconut scent. It's accompanied by a slightly powdery accord of white and yellow tropical flowers. Thankfully, the powdery aspect subsides rapidly, leaving the creamy coconut (without that sunscreen vibe) and tropical flowers as the stars. I could imagine myself lounging on a patio chair, sipping a fruity cocktail with the bright sun hanging in the clear skies above. It's the image this perfume gives me each time I smell it. Yellow flowers end up taking the spotlight as the day moves on, as the coconut retreats in the background. While it always stays fresh, it sometimes borders on the carnal, almost indolic aspect of flowers. I never caught the synthetic note of ambroxan which is good thing to me since I hate sharp synthetic notes. The musk never turns dirty thanks to vanilla: the drydown instead becomes a warm floral skin scent.
I've added this perfume as a full bottle since then and I don't regret it. The bottle is beautiful with the gradient colors reminiscent of a setting sun. The spray nozzle is one if the best I have in my collection and the cap is heavy and magnetic. I do see myself wearing it mostly during the summer, but the florals are sufficiently strong that you could wear it during spring and the beginning of fall without feeling too much out of place.
