a 10/10... wow!

In love!!! ...my signature scent, the scent just makes you happy, in a "feel good" way...smells like you just came out of the shower of a 5 star hotel on a tropical island, clean soapy but high quality, as if you had just done the full program after a long day of sunbathing on the beach, showers, hair care and body lotion ....and then you lie down on the bed in the hotel room which is freshly made up, large windows with white curtains from which the warm wind blows in... and fresh cocktails from room service on the wooden table, the sun slowly sets, the clouds turn orange.

I also think he smells somehow super likeable, like the girl who always smiles and likes to give hugs, just the absolute summer girl.

I personally like when a summer fragrance doesn't end up being so heavy, vanilla or ambery...that makes the fragrance kind of dirty for me, so for me this fragrance is perfect and an absolute 10/10!

the fragrance lasts, has a great sillage and scent bubble and hardly changes except that it becomes even rounder, better and creamy.you really don't need to spray much!

for me it also smells somehow like being in love and super nostalgic, like the summer you miss when it's over...so for me it's also a bit melancholic but in a good way.

Summer vacation in a bottle

What all the JHAG perfumes I have tested so far have in common is this prominent synthetic note. I find this note really pungent in most of the perfumes from this company - I often have the feeling that I have sprayed hairspray directly into my airways. There are only a few fragrances from JHAG that I like, even really like, despite the synthetics.

One of them is Lust for Sun. I absolutely don't have the feeling that anything is clogging my airways. At the beginning, a very intense floral scent (something lilac-like, even if it's not listed) paired with coconut immediately spreads. You are catapulted straight into a good mood vacation feeling.

Over time, the fragrance becomes softer and sweeter, the typical Monoï scent blends with coconut and vanilla. Overall, however, the perfume does not undergo too much development.

Lust for Sun is an absolute summer vacation sun-beach cocktail sunscreen scent from start to finish, very synthetic, yes, but not pungent. Very intense and long-lasting, but not too overpowering.

Simply puts me in a good mood, warms my heart and makes me look forward to next summer, especially now in dreary January!

A Polynesian vacation in a bottle

The first few minutes are like being wreathed in a fresh lei. After 15 minutes, the coconut begins to comes forward. I need to be careful and not apply this like Vanilla Vibes, because this fragrance projects! And the longevity is considerable. Over wear time, the ambroxan and musk base provides warmth. The vanilla is there, hiding within the coconut. This layers deliciously with Moscow Mule or Sunny Side Up.

One quality all my JHAG scents share is a fresh dry down. The florals, coconut, or what have you never turn metallic. The same for the florals in Lust for Sun. They may grow fainter, but never stale. All stages of Lust for Sun smell brilliant.

Beautiful tropical flowers and coconut

When it came out, I immediately added it to my list of perfumes to watch for as I knew I'd be searching for a nice tropical summer perfume when the time would come. I also hadn't given up on finding a perfume that contained coconut without the sunscreen vibe. This one came as a GWP while buying something on Sephora and I do not regret it in the least. It's probably the tropical cocktail I was searching for all along.

At the beginning, there's this sweet, creamy coconut scent. It's accompanied by a slightly powdery accord of white tropical flowers. Thankfully the powdery aspect subsides quite rapidly for the creamy coconut without the sunscreen aspect. I could imagine myself lounging on a patio chair, sipping a fruity cocktail with the bright sun hanging in the clear skies above. It's the image this perfume gives me each time I smell it. White flowers end up taking the spotlight as the day moves on, as the coconut retreats a bit. It smells even more floral, almost indolic, but at the same time it stays fresh. I never caught the synthetic note of ambroxan which is good thing to me since I hate sharp synthetic notes. The musk never turns dirty thanks to vanilla: the drydown becomes this warm floral skin scent.

I've added this perfume as a full bottle since then and I don't regret it. The bottle is beautiful with the gradient colors reminiscent of a setting sun. The spray nozzle is one if the best I have and the cap is heavy and magnetic. I do see myself wearing it mainly during the summer, but the florals are sufficiently strong that you can wear it without necessarily getting that beach vibe.

I was so excited to smell this, as I am a fan of coconut scents but here the note is super understated. To me this is more of a lotion/shower gel smell than perfume, with maybe too much synthetic-smelling white florals in the opening, at least to my taste. I expected something more creamy, sunscreeny but instead I was met with an overly floral, kinda dated scent if I'm honest. The dry down is much much better but you have to be patient.
Overall is it pleasant? Yes. Would I wear it? No.
