More coffee, please
In the opening I get a really intense coffee note that I enjoy. It smells like a cup of coffee or an espresso without any milk, served with a piece of high quality darm chocolate. Definitely not a cappucino like the listed notes say! And a hint of a classic rose and patchouli perfume is already lingering in the background right from the start.
After a short while, the rose and patch take over. There is a hint of clean oud, but not a lot of it, and some vanilla sweetness, too. A little bergamot keeps it from being too heavy. From this point on, this reminds me a lot of Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Woman, which I already have. CDNIW is a known dupe for Tom Ford Noir de Noir, and I know that there are a lot of other scents that are similar, too. I love sweet, dark patchouli and rose scents like this, but only in fall and winter, and I don't wear them that often, so I don't need another one. This one is admittedly very nice, it just feels a bit "been there, done that" to me. If they amped up the coffee note and made it stay for longer, I would love this, but the way it is, it's more of a like.
The current rating of 6.4 is wild to me though. I was going back and forth between a 7.5 and an 8 and I only settled on the 7.5 for the lack of originality.
