I don't smell cappuccino at all; I smell incense, scented sticks...

It's a beautiful, elegant perfume for ladies. It doesn't go with every outfit. I don't smell cappuccino at all; I would have liked to smell this scent. I smell incense, scented sticks... It's persistent but it's a bit expensive. I bought the 10 ml bottle. The bottle is elegant as is the box. I wouldn't repurchase it. Rating: 8/10

More coffee, please

In the opening I get a really intense coffee note that I enjoy. It smells like a cup of coffee or an espresso without any milk, served with a piece of high quality darm chocolate. Definitely not a cappucino like the listed notes say! And a hint of a classic rose and patchouli perfume is already lingering in the background right from the start.

After a short while, the rose and patch take over. There is a hint of clean oud, but not a lot of it, and some vanilla sweetness, too. A little bergamot keeps it from being too heavy. From this point on, this reminds me a lot of Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Woman, which I already have. CDNIW is a known dupe for Tom Ford Noir de Noir, and I know that there are a lot of other scents that are similar, too. I love sweet, dark patchouli and rose scents like this, but only in fall and winter, and I don't wear them that often, so I don't need another one. This one is admittedly very nice, it just feels a bit "been there, done that" to me. If they amped up the coffee note and made it stay for longer, I would love this, but the way it is, it's more of a like.

The current rating of 6.4 is wild to me though. I was going back and forth between a 7.5 and an 8 and I only settled on the 7.5 for the lack of originality.

Had to wait a long time to finally test it

This is my first Kayali fragrance from the new collection, and I have to say that I expected more from it. I perceive the cappuccino for too short a time. After that, a beautiful Damask rose follows, but the other components don't come through enough. I can't smell any oud at all.

The first disappointing Kayali fragrance

I love Kayali fragrances; they convey a feminine elegance and femininity without being overwhelming or excessive. Until now, I never hesitated to buy a full size of the scents blindly. After Vanilla Oud literally swept the rug out from under my feet, I thought Café Oud must also be good.

Bought, sprayed, and frozen in shock. Was something wrong with the filling? Instead of coffee with notes of rose, musk, and vanilla, the perfume SMELLS STRONGLY of rose, extract-like, stuffy, biting. Just too much. Definitely not the kind of rose you see blooming in the garden and would like to sniff as you pass by. The rose scent overpowers everything, probably due to the combination with oud. If Café Oud smells like this, what can I expect from Rosé Oud? No, I don't want to know.

So I put it in the cupboard for now, hoping that it just needs a little time to unfold properly. In attempt 2, I even sprayed it on my leg, out of nose range - just in case.

Conclusion: For me, an absolute mispurchase. The scent had to be desperately washed off after a few hours of "enduring and waiting" even the second time - and even then it was not completely gone. It has no sillage, is quite linear. I will not buy another scent from the oud line.
