I admit, I might be a bit behind the times when it comes to trendy fragrances, but what the espresso beans are up to here with the maritime notes is still not entirely clear to me.
I always think a fragrance should have a coherent theme or even a story. Here we have the sea and something melony, so roughly nature, but then in the middle notes suddenly - ping! - a whole coffee roastery or maybe a street café, just to fit in words like "metropolitan sophistication" on the sample card. So it's urban after all and not field/forest/meadow or even a luxury liner? The packaging and the cap, on the other hand, have a wood structure. No, something conceptually isn't quite right here.
The scent is really not bad and, in my opinion, would have done just fine without them, but the espresso beans completely threw me off :)
