The Slightly Different Blue

Shiyaaka (Blue) | Khadlaj / خدلج" does not enjoy the same attention as its red counterpart "Shiyaaka for Him / شياكة | Khadlaj / خدلج," and yet it is of comparable quality.

The opening is a mix of many different well-known scents, giving one the impression of a blend.
The citrusy freshness of "Bleu de Chanel (Eau de Toilette) | Chanel," a bit bubblegum-like as in "Invictus (Eau de Toilette) | Paco Rabanne," and something sweet that slightly reminds one of "Scandal pour Homme | Jean Paul Gaultier."

The citrus from Bleu de Chanel Eau de Toilette comes through after a short time but with a twist.
It smells like a kind of sweet BdC, yet somehow also subtly green and sparkling fresh, quite interesting.

The further it goes into the drydown, the spicier and more distinctive the perfume becomes, yet the BdC DNA is still present somewhere.

Simply put, I would say that in the end it is a citrusy (lemon or bergamot), sweet (probably vanilla, but not clearly identifiable for me), spicy (definitely musk), and somehow slightly greener/fresher scent with a little touch of bubblegum.
It reminds very, very slightly of BdC but is neither an alternative nor a dupe of it.

Perfect for summer.
I would say it is more suited for younger men due to the bubblegum vibe, which many mature men might like less, although it stays quite within limits here.

Performance is rather average, performing like a typical blue fragrance even though it is not that blue at all.
It might need to mature a bit, but so far it is not a strong performer.
After an hour, I can only perceive it weakly, but then it lasts about 4-5 hours with a rather weak to moderate projection.
This could also depend on my skin, hard to say.

Overall, a nice scent for a small price.
Not as boring as some summer fragrances that are much more expensive.
Quality is also quite okay, definitely not too synthetic or anything like that.
It leans towards designer, and you definitely don’t perceive anything oriental here.
And IN MY opinion, it will appeal to most people, a typical crowd pleaser indeed.
