We continue with the Khadlaj brand from Dubai, which sells really great fragrances at low prices. I had already reviewed the extremely hyped
Shiyaaka Silver. It's a dupe for Reflection Man, which is quite well made, especially in the price range between €15 and €20, which is about what this Shiyaaka range costs. You definitely get a lot for this price in terms of quality. Unlike the famous Shiyaaka Red, you can't really classify it as a dupe. Of course, this is not a fragrance where you get the feeling that it hasn't existed before. If you are looking for this type of pleasant, relatively fresh fragrance for everyday activities, you could absolutely find it here. For a small budget, you will find a great all-rounder if you like to be a little sweeter on the go.
As I said, the price is really great. i bought 100ml for just under 15€ and for that you get a fragrance that is pretty much always wearable. This fragrance comes in an attractive cardboard box that is easy to dispose of, unlike many other fragrances from the Arab world. The bottle also looks quite good and the silver pattern immediately catches the eye. It also feels good and is slightly reminiscent of the Dunhill Icon range.
In terms of scent, I often read similarities to Bleu de Chanel here. I can't go along with that at all. It is aimed at a completely different target group, as it is rather semi-fresh and has this synthetic but pleasant sweetness. Blue also gives the wrong impression as it has this mainstream DNA with a good dose of sweetness. The pyramid also doesn't reflect what's really in it, but this is still a fragrance that I really like and can be easily incorporated into everyday life. To name a few similar fragrances that roughly go in this direction:
Valentino Uomo Born In Roma Intense,
Scandal pour Homme,
Invictus Victory. This direction is taken here much more than this type of shower gel fragrance.
In terms of scent, this fragrance starts with a lot of creamy citrus and goes slightly in the direction of lemon cake. Bergamot and lime provide a delicious citrus note, which is accompanied by that mainstream sweet freshness that you often smell from designers. This also has that slight bubblegum freshness that you get from Rasasi Hawas, for example. Slightly greenish nuances with basil and patchouli also come through easily and go well with the citrus. The freshness is joined by a pleasant lavender note. The base is quite pleasantly warm with a beautiful blend of musk, amber and cedar wood that flashes up much earlier. Overall, a great fragrance that is much sweeter than the pyramid suggests.
Performance is top and lasts for at least 8 hours. The later hours are of course much closer to the skin. The start radiates quite well, which is to be expected from this rather synthetic sweet combo. Top suitable for everyday wear with a simple style. Those looking for a more "blue" fragrance will be disappointed here.
All in all, a great cheapie that is particularly suitable for young, modern men in casual outfits.
