Green and Blue Wears the Pig
Shiyaaka Shadow. I must say, the name and the bottle do draw me in quite magically. I was a bit skeptical due to the fact that it is supposed to be a dupe of Bad Boy Cobalt and the original doesn't come off very well (neither in the reviews nor with the fragrance influencers) and this dupe is said to be quite close. But with a description of "woody, fresh, sweet/floral" - I was curious enough to at least order a sample.
Now to the scent:
To me, it does smell a bit like fresh "shower gel scent" - especially in the opening. In the opening, it smells relatively light, fresh, sweet, masculine. Not a bad first impression.
In the drydown, it reminds me a lot of the opening of Essence de Blanc - spicy, fresh, actually even a bit green (and herbal). And thus, it is not quite what I had hoped for. The opening is the weakness of Essence de Blanc and here it is the drydown of Shiyaaka Shadow. However, one only has to live with the opening for 30 minutes and with the drydown until the bitter end.
For me, the scent is unfortunately nothing. It is certainly "OK" - but I wouldn't wear it.
