New Suave
I rarely like leather scents. Fortunately, New Suede is not one of them, in my opinion.
Instead, I find a medley of wild impressions that create an adventurous scent journey.
After the initial spray, there’s an almost amusing impression. I associate it 50% with dry / powdery / softly floral / woody / soft and 50% with mild marzipan. I wouldn’t call New Suede gourmand, partly due to the woody notes and its fresh, bright fluctuation that leans towards a tiny bit of soapy shower gel freshness. That doesn’t sound particularly pleasant, but it’s not due to the fragrance, rather my lack of descriptive ability.
If the scent could hold its time here, it would be an unobtrusive, tendentially feminine summer perfume that conveys a friendly, rich sense of care. Contrapuntal notes like in a lemon grape sugar.
After a quarter of an hour, it becomes more serious. I like this twist into the dark, where I sense a hint of peppery sharpness. Dry and smoky, the perfect foundation for the beautifully unfolding vanilla. If it were up to me, New Suede could have started here, because we warm each other’s hearts. My nose detects traces of fruit (?) or flowers that give support and volume to the warm, smoldering vanilla. As a natural perfume, we are in the intimate area, but it’s worth sticking around.
New Suede is a joyful journey of experiences that I like better towards the end. Still worth a recommendation - the whole brand! I am very interested in the impressions of other experienced perfume noses here.
