L'Eau de CassisAll perfumes & Information

L'Eau de Cassis is a perfume house in Cassis in the south of France. It was founded in 2005 by Frenchman Fabrice Cicol, who traces his vocation and inspiration back to a family story. Four generations ago, his ancestor Lorenzo Salvaire from Piedmont created a perfume with a special scent for a distinguished lady from the Marseille bourgeoisie, who is said to have been passing through Cassis in 1851. The ancestor's perfume recipe was passed down within the family as a family secret until it was revealed 150 years later by the descendant Fabrice Cicol, who was born in 1965. It is up to the reader to decide whether this is one of those stories of legendary Provence or a successful family legacy.
Fabrice Cicol sells his special fragrance under the melodious name L'Eau de Cassis, which also adorns his brand. The original L'Eau de Cassis is offered in various fragrances with evocative names at a scented fountain for bottling.
According to the company, Fabrice Cicol has been creating other perfumes in addition to L'Eau de Cassis in his workshop since 2001 with creative and financial freedom, expanding his collection every year with new fragrances inspired by cassis, the Garrigue and the sea.
The compositions of L'Eau de Cassis with southern French charm are available as perfumes and Eaux de Cologne as well as room fragrances, pillow sprays and - through a 2021 merger with the candle manufacturer La Ciergerie des Prémontrés - as candles. The range also includes 100% natural soaps, hand creams and cosmetics.
The store in the center of Cassis houses some museum pieces and offers perfume workshops for adults and children in a studio. In addition to an online shop, there are other boutiques in Paris, Grasse, Marseille and Bordeaux.
