Moonlight Fragrance

We sit here and beneath us rages the pain of this world. Moon dust, white and pure, cascades down upon us and gives you a form. I can only recognize you vaguely, and the closer I look, the more you blur. Your hand touches mine, and in this touch lies both the magic and the pain of an unfulfilled longing. I want to hold you, preferably forever, but you must leave and go without a word, swift as sound back to where you came from - into the starry void.

There are fragrances that touch me deeply. Practically from the nose straight to the heart. From there, spreading throughout the entire body. They give you what you need most in that moment, what you long for, satisfy you, protect you, but then also leave you with sometimes painful realizations. That’s why you might not be able to wear them too often. But they never leave your mind, never let you go, and you enjoy every moment when you wear them.
Chemise Blanche is such a fragrance for me. Tested some time ago, and it has never let me go.
Recently, I received another sample from our dear Parfuma Cafenoir - many thanks for that - and this time it overwhelmed me during the retest. I owe our dear Parfuma Addicta my gratitude, as soon a bottle will be joining my collection.
A clean scent and great emotions? Yes, that works. At least for me.
I can only agree with my predecessors on many impressions. Freshly washed laundry, starched clean sheets, deluxe Nivea cream, Febreze... all of that is Chemise Blanche for my nose, and only in the most positive sense. This fragrance carries the color radiant white and is as pure, honest, and innocent as a child's soul.
The aldehydes are very noticeable at the beginning along with the bergamot, leaving a slightly citrus impression. They often remind me of something dusty and cause headaches, but that is not the case here at all. A beautiful bright clear iris joins in, making the scent powdery, and an enchanting white rose brings in more contrast. The impression spreads that this fragrance is a mix of powder and cream. Cream powder or something like that. The lightness of a powder and the flattering softness of a cream.
The base has tremendous depth on me. It becomes sweeter, spicier - I believe due to the amber and tonka, but remains somehow fluffy due to the musk. At no time do I perceive the scent as old-fashioned or heavy, but rather light, cuddly, and caressing like a silk dress. At least as I imagine it; I haven't worn one yet. That’s what my nose tells me.
Longevity is around 6-8 hours for me, and the sillage is noticeable but not intrusive.
What my heart whispers to me is already in the first lines and was the reason for me - although it is also a very beautiful and well-made fragrance from an interesting brand - to indulge in the whole bottle.

It was too much of a laundry scent for me... but it's great that you were able to discover it for yourself. Nice comment!

A beautiful comment that describes the scent in a lovingly poetic way, beyond the clean-cut style. I can't express it like that, but I can relate all too well, as the scent will be returning to me soon :-) I’ll just say: Thank you!

I really find that touching when fragrances evoke such emotions and inspire lines like these. Of course, I'm also happy that I played a small part as a 'midwife,' even though I had no way of knowing. May you always enjoy this scent anew!
