Nivea-Deluxe
It was the infectious enthusiasm of "Ichbins" that brought this fragrance to my attention. Somehow, I never really noticed the brand in stores, and the rather mediocre Black Oud didn’t exactly boost my motivation to try more scents.
However, since I always find fresh, clean laundry scents appealing, I had to get a sample, especially since they always hide the tester at Breuninger!
After the first spray, a pleasantly scented cloud reached my nose. Fresh, clean, and very creamy. It's like mixing L'Eau Serge and Universalis Forte and then pouring in a bucket of Nivea cream. It could also be a fabric softener "Sensitive." An extra dose of white musk and the obligatory lily of the valley. The lily of the valley combined with the iris gives the fragrance a slightly powdery appearance, yes, even a little bit cloying... as if a whole lot of orange blossoms were in there.
That's all nice and lovely when the bedsheets smell like that on the first night... great... but as a perfume... hmm... I don't know... it doesn't really blow me away. The fragrance lacks that certain something, that "aha" experience, because there are so many scents in this direction now, and for me, Serge Lutens was the pioneer... whether it really takes 16 years for that is another topic.
Chemise Blanche will primarily appeal to (delicate) women who already loved Blanche, Aqua Universalis/Forte, Vitae Forte, L'Eau Serge, Eau Froide, Laine de Verre, and many more. Of course, it can also be a nice contrast within a collection where heavy, sweet, or oriental scents usually dominate. I always enjoy testing such fragrances to see if one can get even closer to that very specific scent of clean, freshly washed laundry. However, as a daily wear perfume, it’s uninteresting for me, especially since Nivea-Deluxe costs €200. I’d rather spend an extra €40 and buy White Spirit, which has more depth and is more multifaceted.
Chemise Blanche doesn’t really change much; it just becomes creamier hour by hour. The performance of 6-7 hours is great, the sillage is above average and completely sufficient!

Fresh, fine, multifaceted
Oh wow! This is the first "clean scent" that I can really imagine as a bottle in my cabinet! My wife is currently exploring this fragrance world, and I occasionally try some out of curiosity rather than the desire to wear these scents myself. But here I am on the verge of giving in...

"Chemise Blanche" shows clear similarities to the similarly named "Blanche" by Byredo, which is not surprising when you take a look at the fragrance pyramid. Both feature aldehydes in the top note, roses in the heart note, and (white) musk in the base note.

But as is often the case with sisters, despite the unmistakable similarity, there are also clear differences in appearance and character: "Chemise Blanche" comes across as distinctly fresher and more vibrant (certainly the citrus notes), while the sensual weight of Byredo's "Blanche" is toned down here, and I also perceive a certain spicy herbal quality "on the edge" of the fragrance spectrum (perhaps among other things the tonka bean?!), maybe even a distant hint of "Eau Sauvage".

This creates a truly beautiful, harmonious, and quite exciting composition, which I actually don't find so chaste or sterile. The scent is varied due to its many fine nuances and possesses a certain depth despite all its freshness and delicacy: This alone excludes any kind of boredom. When I imagine "Chemise Blanche" on a woman (or on a woman), she is by no means an untouchable "white queen," but rather a younger lady who initially comes across as unobtrusively appealing. She wears light, possibly pastel, and rather practical clothing (perhaps in the style of "Esprit") and canvas shoes. Once you engage her in conversation and take a closer look, however, you quickly discover things that contrast with the initial "unobtrusive aesthetic" and create a - also erotic - tension: a melancholic gaze, perhaps a scar, an old and very striking piece of jewelry, a depth in her profession or family history....

One more word on the perfume gender question and the "clean head cinema":

I find "Chemise Blanche," fully in line with the M/F/Unisex logo classification here at Parfumo, really more "unisex," while Byredo's "Blanche" is truly more feminine. All the more interesting is that "Byredo" has 15% male fans in the "owner statistics," while "Chemise Blanche" has only 5%, which in absolute numbers corresponds to exactly one person. Joshi, great that you are waving the flag for the masculine gender here. This scent deserves more appreciation from the male world. Guys, give it a try!

As for the clean associations: Here too, like with so many "clean scents" that are said to resemble laundry detergent, I can neither recognize any similarity to soap powder (and I love soap powder), nor to fabric softeners, nor to Febreze (and I hate Febreze). "Nivea Deluxe," however, as DaveGahan101 writes, yes, that has something: When the citrus notes have receded (although they strangely almost never completely retreat), there is something reminiscent of Nivea cream, but really only from a distance (I would never be interested in a scent that smells "like Nivea cream," that would be more of an exclusion criterion for me, but I really like this scent!). All in all, it seems to me that with this balanced, fine, and fresh composition, it might be less productive to search for specific scent memories from the world of practical things, not even for the namesake white shirt. We should simply enjoy the multifaceted fragrance!

Moonlight Fragrance
We sit here and beneath us rages the pain of this world. Moon dust, white and pure, cascades down upon us and gives you a form. I can only recognize you vaguely, and the closer I look, the more you blur. Your hand touches mine, and in this touch lies both the magic and the pain of an unfulfilled longing. I want to hold you, preferably forever, but you must leave and go without a word, swift as sound back to where you came from - into the starry void.

There are fragrances that touch me deeply. Practically from the nose straight to the heart. From there, spreading throughout the entire body. They give you what you need most in that moment, what you long for, satisfy you, protect you, but then also leave you with sometimes painful realizations. That’s why you might not be able to wear them too often. But they never leave your mind, never let you go, and you enjoy every moment when you wear them.
Chemise Blanche is such a fragrance for me. Tested some time ago, and it has never let me go.
Recently, I received another sample from our dear Parfuma Cafenoir - many thanks for that - and this time it overwhelmed me during the retest. I owe our dear Parfuma Addicta my gratitude, as soon a bottle will be joining my collection.
A clean scent and great emotions? Yes, that works. At least for me.
I can only agree with my predecessors on many impressions. Freshly washed laundry, starched clean sheets, deluxe Nivea cream, Febreze... all of that is Chemise Blanche for my nose, and only in the most positive sense. This fragrance carries the color radiant white and is as pure, honest, and innocent as a child's soul.
The aldehydes are very noticeable at the beginning along with the bergamot, leaving a slightly citrus impression. They often remind me of something dusty and cause headaches, but that is not the case here at all. A beautiful bright clear iris joins in, making the scent powdery, and an enchanting white rose brings in more contrast. The impression spreads that this fragrance is a mix of powder and cream. Cream powder or something like that. The lightness of a powder and the flattering softness of a cream.
The base has tremendous depth on me. It becomes sweeter, spicier - I believe due to the amber and tonka, but remains somehow fluffy due to the musk. At no time do I perceive the scent as old-fashioned or heavy, but rather light, cuddly, and caressing like a silk dress. At least as I imagine it; I haven't worn one yet. That’s what my nose tells me.
Longevity is around 6-8 hours for me, and the sillage is noticeable but not intrusive.
What my heart whispers to me is already in the first lines and was the reason for me - although it is also a very beautiful and well-made fragrance from an interesting brand - to indulge in the whole bottle.

The White Queen
Once upon a time, there was a white queen. Her kingdom was only surpassed by her beauty. She was the purest being of her world, no one was as white, as clean, as creamy. She was the opposite of being easy to have or cheap, yet despite her highest class, she always appeared fundamentally good and kind. The world had seen many beautiful women, radiant divas, pure pastor's daughters, or sparkling empresses - but the good Chemise Blanche outshone them all.

Her 8-9 hour reign was a happy one, and her radiant powder-white penetrated the hearts of many, even those far away. It was precisely through her reserved, sometimes slightly shy demeanor that she won hearts in a storm. Whether it was Nivea, Absolue Pour Le Matin, or the entire Clean Bear fragrance army - all paid homage to this white leader. She was so pure and pristine that some spoke of a goddess-queen, elfin-like and like everything so brightly shining, only of limited duration. Only her even more floral daughter, Aqua Universalis Forte, was similarly beautiful and carried her white heart further into the world.

Nevertheless, Chemise Blanche remains a legend in the clean white kingdom and unforgettable.

Immaculate Virgin
The title doesn't come from nowhere. I heard that from my best friend when I wore the fragrance. Even after hours, her nose was not convinced, nor was mine. She thinks it doesn't suit me, that it seems too pure, too hygienic, almost clinical. I can't and don't want to disagree with her. Because it is almost like that, in my eyes too, on my skin, and especially it feels that way to my senses. If not totally clinically pure. An immaculate virgin who thinks she can proudly strut through life without sins. Without pep and without fire under her behind. No edges. No corners. Everything seems so peaceful and pure that it really shakes me. For the very intimate moments, with oneself. I can let myself be persuaded in those moments, but otherwise? Definitely not for black, matte noses like mine.

Chemise Blanche is like putting on a white, clean T-shirt over a pure body. No offensiveness, no dirt, no greedy scent that seems to cover everything. No, it is much more a scent of tenderness, of quiet, dew-fresh moments, and if you cast an eye into the soul of this fragrance, you will only be enveloped by white curtains.

I detect a laundry detergent note here. But there are so many names on the market that I really can't decide where to categorize it. The fragrance has exactly that laundry detergent note when you apply it. It seems a bit chemical, artificial with a bite of mandarin, which presents itself as a bit riper at first, but is quickly absorbed by the white medium. Cotton is present. In my thoughts, delicate in my nose. Even if not particularly beautiful, it is definitely there. Don't get me wrong, it is not an unpleasant, totally unattractive scent, but for me, it is simply not a scent I would wear day in and day out. However, it is made for freshness and feeling good.

But when the heart is reached, the fragrance becomes powdery, delicate. One could almost say: fluffy. Nestled on pink clouds, with pure, white clothes that gently caress the skin. That’s how you have to imagine Chemise Blanche. Like this and not otherwise. Rose only adorns the fragrance on the sidelines and allows it to bloom a bit. Nevertheless, the fragrance remains on its white, pure line and is not swayed by anything. The freshness always remains, never covered up.

Musk and tonka give the fragrance the final touch. Only a hint of powder remains, softly overshadowed by musk. Not a poorly made fragrance. Really not. But for me, it is simply nothing. While I also like to smell things that have been freshly washed, I personally do not consider wearing a fragrance that smells just like freshly washed laundry.

Longevity is quite long for a fragrance that carries so much purity within it. I see the sillage in the middle range. Such a fragrance is not created for others, but for the person who wears it.

Lovely powdery iris and aldehydes, musky but not animalic just clean and soapy. Smells very much like fresh laundry.

This smells like an expensive, clean body lotion but not for this price. I would rather go for something else if I want this scent profile

White fairy tale world. Everything feels soft, clean, and fresh-aldehydic. Over time, the scent becomes creamier and pleasantly powdery.

A high-quality, elegant, finely composed fresh linen scent. Very clean. Slightly aldehydic, but it works. Not sweet. Wearable for men.
