Chemise Blanche LM Parfums 2013

The title doesn't come from nowhere. I heard that from my best friend when I wore the fragrance. Even after hours, her nose was not convinced, nor was mine. She thinks it doesn't suit me, that it seems too pure, too hygienic, almost clinical. I can't and don't want to disagree with her. Because it is almost like that, in my eyes too, on my skin, and especially it feels that way to my senses. If not totally clinically pure. An immaculate virgin who thinks she can proudly strut through life without sins. Without pep and without fire under her behind. No edges. No corners. Everything seems so peaceful and pure that it really shakes me. For the very intimate moments, with oneself. I can let myself be persuaded in those moments, but otherwise? Definitely not for black, matte noses like mine.

Chemise Blanche is like putting on a white, clean T-shirt over a pure body. No offensiveness, no dirt, no greedy scent that seems to cover everything. No, it is much more a scent of tenderness, of quiet, dew-fresh moments, and if you cast an eye into the soul of this fragrance, you will only be enveloped by white curtains.

I detect a laundry detergent note here. But there are so many names on the market that I really can't decide where to categorize it. The fragrance has exactly that laundry detergent note when you apply it. It seems a bit chemical, artificial with a bite of mandarin, which presents itself as a bit riper at first, but is quickly absorbed by the white medium. Cotton is present. In my thoughts, delicate in my nose. Even if not particularly beautiful, it is definitely there. Don't get me wrong, it is not an unpleasant, totally unattractive scent, but for me, it is simply not a scent I would wear day in and day out. However, it is made for freshness and feeling good.

But when the heart is reached, the fragrance becomes powdery, delicate. One could almost say: fluffy. Nestled on pink clouds, with pure, white clothes that gently caress the skin. That’s how you have to imagine Chemise Blanche. Like this and not otherwise. Rose only adorns the fragrance on the sidelines and allows it to bloom a bit. Nevertheless, the fragrance remains on its white, pure line and is not swayed by anything. The freshness always remains, never covered up.

Musk and tonka give the fragrance the final touch. Only a hint of powder remains, softly overshadowed by musk. Not a poorly made fragrance. Really not. But for me, it is simply nothing. While I also like to smell things that have been freshly washed, I personally do not consider wearing a fragrance that smells just like freshly washed laundry.

Longevity is quite long for a fragrance that carries so much purity within it. I see the sillage in the middle range. Such a fragrance is not created for others, but for the person who wears it.
