Cerf Blanc La Maison Hédonique

In the setting of the night, twilight vaults the sky so low over the smoldering wet-cold mist that the veils begin to glow chlorine blue, where the floors burn like chimney fires ethereal smoke lays like dew on the peat, forming swaths of leather, sooty and pungent, on sour split oak logs swimming in earthy damp mosses and white ash stars glow behind shimmering liquid pepper. There in the haze stands a cloudy creature, staring across moorland in the morning.

British perfumer (La Maison Hédonique), actress (Shaun of the Dead), writer and director Lucy Akhurst seems to be a real multi-talent. Unfortunately, she had to give up her perfume house because of the Brexit. After Apéro, "Cerf Blanc" was already the second fragrance from her house, which impressed me with its extraordinary consistency, presence and persistence.
Ethereal peppery cardamom develops with light chlorine-like ozone, damp sooty smoke, sharp leather, sour spicy oak, earthy moss and dry peat a bright, cool, spicy scent, somewhere between liquid pepper vapor and cold chimney smoke, lying like mist over a leathery peat bog covered in rime.
