Missed Opportunity
The fragrance "Marine Care" by La mer accompanied me this year during my summer vacation and to keep it short, it ultimately did not disappoint me completely.
Unfortunately, it "misses its chance" to become a true alternative for summer, as the longevity is quite poor.
The scent itself suits my taste quite well, even though a strong whiff of alcohol hits you at first. Once this is overcome, the fragrance transforms into a fresh and pleasantly masculine-scented, cinnamon rose. In the drydown, I would describe the scent as powdery and always fresh. The fragrance also works very well in high temperatures and does not disturb anyone with its presence.
For example, I wore it for breakfast, at the beach, or by the pool and could always perceive a pleasant, subtle scent on my skin. Unfortunately, it fades away too quickly in my opinion, although my wife confirms that she can still smell it on me after a few hours. The scent is very close to the skin and, for my taste, too weak in longevity. If it had a bit more power, I would gladly recommend it, but after my test this year, I prefer to hold back on a purchase recommendation.
At La mer's shop, the fragrance was available for just under €25 (50ml). In this price category, there are certainly better options, but I am not completely dissatisfied with the purchase.
