Possibilities La Perla 2021

La Perla Possibilities is, in my opinion, a perfume for a grand romantic appearance.. Super romantic and simply stunning.. It is not a jeans and shirt everyday scent, but rather a fragrance that is so extremely feminine and romantic that, in my nose, it requires a special occasion..

I immediately thought of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when I sprayed the scent. More specifically, I see the scene in my mind where she is sitting in the bar in her stunning red evening gown, waiting for Richard Gere, who can hardly contain his excitement when she turns around.. I believe she smelled just like that when she was sitting there looking so beautiful.. OMG I love this movie..

Possibilities opens with stunningly fragrant freesias that have a little twist of pink pepper as a spice.. Very unique and so breathtaking.. In the drydown, it becomes truly romantic and powdery.. A sea of red roses, rose water, and some indescribable stunning powdery notes dance in competition.. It becomes softer and fluffier in the base with a lot of cashmere but also just a bit soapy. The floral bouquet remains until the end.. A hint of slightly smoky vanilla ensures that the scent has a little twist until the very end.. The fragrance is classically feminine but in a modern way, so soft and unique, far from sharp and old-fashioned.. Still, I envision a bit of the Viennese Opera Ball or an evening at the opera, like in the movie Pretty Woman, when I smell Possibilities..

A scent that has blown me away because I haven't smelled anything so feminine and romantic in such a modern way for years.. However, I need to continue testing the fragrance over weeks because I first need to see if it actually works in everyday situations, for example when going out to eat, or if it really is, as I suspect, only suitable for the grand romantic appearance..

Addendum. The very peppery note bothers me a bit in the long run, as it is very present throughout all the fragrance phases. Still incredibly beautiful and elegant.
