Well

Due to the many positive comments, I tested this fragrance at +15 degrees outside. Although the calendar said November, it felt like April. But now to the scent. I should have liked it, as I enjoy fresh and slightly citrusy fragrances. However, liking it was a bit of a challenge. The opening was very pleasant and promising with a lot of bitter lemon. Oh... I was excited, but then came the hyacinth. Unfortunately, the little flower came across as a bit too strong and artificial, reminding me of toilet spray. Together with the lemon, it wasn't a hit. Apple and jasmine were added but disappeared quite quickly. Yes, something should have come next. But only a brief appearance of musk and cedarwood came through. They too were quickly overshadowed by the initial mishmash. Very synthetic. In the dry down, there was a desperate flicker of lemon, and after 20 minutes, my skin smelled like it had just been rinsed. I couldn't call what I was sniffing a fragrance. The longevity and the speed at which the scent dissipates even surpasses the Verbena scent from Uncle Yves, whose fresh fragrances are now characterized by how quickly they thin out. I don't understand comparing this fragrance to Light Blue. It resembles Verbena from YR the most.

Very nicely described - so it won't be a candidate for me to buy - thanks for this :o) A little trophy for you!

I believe in skin chemistry because I can't explain why a fragrance smells amazing on my daughter but not at all on me, or vice versa.

I have the original and this dupe. And I come to the opposite conclusion. Since I don't really believe in skin chemistry, your conclusion surprises me. Unless you don't like Light Blue either.

Naturelle comes across as soapy to me. But here, the lemon scent hit me like a ton of bricks, to put it bluntly.

Well, it's not a hit. But compared to other scents of this type, it's okay. It's not for me either.

It definitely reminds me of Light Blue. Or even Naturelle, sticking with YR. Still, there are better-made dupes of Light Blue; I find this one quite synthetic and unpleasant, with way too much alcohol in the opening.
