A short pleasure
The durability of "Donna" is miserably short, after one hour there's only a faint whiff of it.
Despite of this "Donna" is a agreable scent.
Is starts with a spicy and citric note, almost masculine. But within 10 minutes there is appearing mutually something flowry and woody as well as a decent creamyness. A Little bit later I'm perceiving a pleasent fruity note. Together with the distinct wood scent in the backround it is a good scent for everydays use. I judge the restraining synthetically note as positively. But a little disadvantage is "Donna's" short longevity. But so what? Looking at the price one can apply it as often as neccessary.

much better!! :-)
This is my first dupe. I never thought I would write something like this.
I tested Light Blue extensively and was very disappointed, as the fragrance pyramid would actually fit my preferences perfectly, yet it just couldn't convince me.
Light Blue simply wouldn't take off on me, always remaining very pale, insignificant. I don't know why.

This community actually made me try dupes that I had disdainfully passed by for decades - and bam!! A total hit!
In my opinion, Donna has fewer facets, but is overall more intense.
You have to bravely skip the top note (it only lasts a few minutes and is oddly piercing), then the heart unfolds in roaring waves, becoming really loud ..... and fades after 2-3 hours to a creamy base.
Although the description mentions apple in the heart note, I absolutely cannot detect it (and I hate apple scents!), it is rather softly floral; perhaps the sour apple takes away the sweetness from the flower (which would be very successful, because sweet doesn't work for me either)?
This creamy, almost sandy powdery base still remains fresh and bright until the end and disappears completely from the skin after about 5-6 hours.

And the best part: the price! So you can smell great even on a very small budget :-))

Well
Due to the many positive comments, I tested this fragrance at +15 degrees outside. Although the calendar said November, it felt like April. But now to the scent. I should have liked it, as I enjoy fresh and slightly citrusy fragrances. However, liking it was a bit of a challenge. The opening was very pleasant and promising with a lot of bitter lemon. Oh... I was excited, but then came the hyacinth. Unfortunately, the little flower came across as a bit too strong and artificial, reminding me of toilet spray. Together with the lemon, it wasn't a hit. Apple and jasmine were added but disappeared quite quickly. Yes, something should have come next. But only a brief appearance of musk and cedarwood came through. They too were quickly overshadowed by the initial mishmash. Very synthetic. In the dry down, there was a desperate flicker of lemon, and after 20 minutes, my skin smelled like it had just been rinsed. I couldn't call what I was sniffing a fragrance. The longevity and the speed at which the scent dissipates even surpasses the Verbena scent from Uncle Yves, whose fresh fragrances are now characterized by how quickly they thin out. I don't understand comparing this fragrance to Light Blue. It resembles Verbena from YR the most.

Donna, let's go to Italy...
After I was very taken with Queen of Life (I have already written a review of the scent), I dared to try more fragrances from La Rive. My next candidate, or rather my next candidate should be Donna. Said and done. I wanted to know how similar the big and little sister are. I had already tested the original and was somewhat disappointed by its longevity. It certainly doesn't hurt if there's an affordable alternative here as well, especially since the original seems surprisingly weak despite its price.

So I cycled to my trusted drugstore and joined the fragrance shelves (after I had already filled my basket with all the other (alibi) stuff) and immediately found my favorite for today. A paper strip generously sprayed, waved three times in the air, and under my nose with it. Ah yes... oh yes... you smell just like your big sister, like freshly showered, wonderful. So I packed it up and added it to my basket. I sank the test strip into the depths of my handbag; I love it when I open my handbag and a light wave of a pleasant scent wafts out. That instantly puts me in a good mood.

At home, I immediately unpacked the fragrance and took a hearty sniff from the bottle. My new scent should go on my skin the next morning.

The scent starts wonderfully fresh for me, like freshly showered. I detect a slightly artificial citrus note. This artificiality is neither unpleasant nor piercingly intense. Images of the advertisement for the big sister immediately come to mind... oh Donna, let's go to the Amalfi Coast and let the sun shine on our bellies :-D

Now I would love to describe how the scent develops on my skin, but unfortunately, I cannot. After about an hour, I could no longer perceive the scent on myself. A quiet disappointment settled in. But I didn't give up and trudged over to my husband after about four hours of wear and let him sniff, and what did I hear: "Ohhh, that smells good!" (an "Ohhh" is rarely heard from him) This surprised me a bit. I could no longer smell it, but my husband certainly could. My "logical" conclusion: Donna was still there, even if she had hidden from me.
They always say that you get so used to the scent you wear that you no longer perceive it yourself. Others, however, still do. I think the same applies to Donna.
Since Donna is also a very light and fresh scent, this effect probably kicks in much earlier than if you were wearing a very heavy and sweet fragrance.

I would have liked to know how Donna develops further on me. Instead, I am happy to have elicited an "Ohhh" from my husband and am somewhat satisfied that the scent is still perceptible to others. If I want to smell it, I can just reapply.

I think the scent is only perceivable to others due to its lightness when in close proximity, but you don't always have to scent an entire room passively.

By the way, the bottle particularly surprised me. It no longer looks like the image above but has visually adapted to its big sister. The bottle itself is made of milky, slightly heavier glass. The cap is made of plastic and is in a pretty sky blue. Simple but chic, I would say.

Due to its lightness, Donna fits perfectly into the current season, especially on very hot days, it provides at least an olfactory refreshment.

Conclusion: Although I was only able to test the original once, I find the scent very similar. Also very similar, if not identical, to the scent of Anna Biondi with Light Silver.
Also regarding longevity, Donna does not need to hide from her big sister. Both are very light and soon not necessarily perceivable to my accustomed nose, but apparently still to others. The big plus is, of course, the price and good availability.

All in all, a solid scent for a small price. No more, but also no less.

P.S.: The test strip in my bag still smelled good after two days :-D

A Journey to Antiquity and Back
Well, then I will write my first perfume comment...

It was an experiment, as I usually only use original scents. I ordered Donna by La Rive because I always liked "Light Blue" in some way, but it didn't develop positively on my skin. Well, for €12, you can't lose much.
Upon spraying, the scent is super fresh, citrusy. I see myself as a child sitting next to my mother in a tour bus, and she is wiping my hands with a refreshing towel.
After 5 minutes, the scent somehow develops into something masculine. I am still sitting in the bus. We have taken a time trip and find ourselves in ancient Greece, and through the window, I see sculptures with the inscription "Nikos," and a Minotaur stands right next to it, a woman named "Paloma P." is holding his hand.
After an hour, I get off the tour bus again. We have arrived at a clear, blue, cooling lake. It is called "Light Blue."

I never thought that an inexpensive dupe scent could occupy me so much and develop so obscurely. You can somehow smell that there are no high-priced ingredients in this little water, but it's still interesting.

All dupes of LB develop more beautifully, I can't with the original. Great woody-lemon-fresh summer scent, price tip!

A scent that takes time to develop. First a citrusy refreshing touch, but later a beautiful floral woody fragrance. It has something!

Between LB & LBI. A bit more pleasant, not as sharp-citrusy as the others. That's why it's a bit better.

A great scent at an unbeatable price. It's justified since you need to apply about 10ml for a summer day at the office :-)

In the parallel test, hardly any difference is noticeable. It doesn't smell more synthetic than the original; however, no long-term test was done. Solid.

I don't know which I prefer: Light Blue or Donna! I got to know the latter first and wore it a lot in summer!
