Donna, let's go to Italy.
After I was very impressed by Queen of Life (I have already written a rezi to the fragrance), I dared to approach other fragrances from La Rive. My next candidate, or rather my next candidate should be Donna. Said, bought. I wanted to know how similar big and little sister are. I was allowed to test the original and was a bit disappointed about the durability. So it certainly doesn't hurt if there is also an affordable double here. Especially not if the original seems to be surprisingly weak despite its price.
So I cycled to the drugstore of my choice and joined in front of the fragrance shelves (after I already had all the other (alibi) stuff in my basket) and immediately found my current favourite. A paper strip generously fogged, waved three times in the air and under the prongs with it. Ah yes...oh yes..you smell just like your big sister, like freshly showered, wonderful. So wrap it up and put it in your basket. I have sunk the test strip into the shallows of my handbag, I love it when I open my handbag and a slight surge of a pleasant smell comes towards me. I get in a good mood right away.
At home, I unpacked the fragrance right away and sniffed the bottle. My new scent should be applied to my skin the next morning.
The fragrance begins for me wonderfully fresh, like freshly showered. I smell a slightly artificial citric note. But this artificial is neither unpleasant nor pungent. I immediately think of the pictures of the advertisement about the big sister...oh Donna, let's go to the Amalfi Coast and let the sun shine on our stomachs:-D
Now I would like to describe to you how the fragrance continues to develop on my skin, but unfortunately I can't do that. I could not perceive the scent on me after about an hour. Quiet disappointment spread through me. But I didn't give up and after about four hours of wearing it I stomped to my man and let him sniff it and what did I hear: "Ohhh, that smells good! (a "Ohhh" is rarely heard from him) That surprised me a little bit now. I no longer smelled him, man but very well. My "logical" consequence: Donna was still there, even if she had hidden from me.
It is always said that you get so used to the scent you are wearing that you no longer notice it yourself. But others do still perceive it. I think that's the same with Donna.
Since Donna is also a very light and fresh scent, this effect probably occurs much earlier than if you were wearing a very heavy and sweet scent.
Still, I would have been happy to know how Donna is still developing with me. Instead, I'm happy to have elicited an "Ohhh" from Männe and am reasonably satisfied that the fragrance is still perceptible to others. If I want to smell it, I can just put it on again.
I think the fragrance is only perceptible to others because of its lightness when you are close to it, but you don't always have to passively scent a whole room.
By the way, I was particularly surprised by the bottle. It no longer looks like the picture above, but has now become very similar to its big sister. The flacon itself is made of milky, slightly heavier glass. The lid is made of plastic and is kept in a pretty sky blue. Simple but chic, I'd say.
Due to her lightness Donna fits perfectly into the current season, especially on very hot days she provides an at least olfactory refreshment.
Conclusion: Although I was only allowed to test the original once, I find the scent very similar. Also very similar, if not equal to the scent of Anna Biondi with Light Silver.
Also in terms of durability Donna does not need to hide from her big sister. Both are very light and soon not necessarily noticeable to my usual nose, but apparently to others. The big plus point is of course the price and the good availability.
All in all a solid fragrance for a slim thaler. No more, but also no less.
P.S.: The test strip in my bag still smelled good after two days:-D
