Sweet Hope La Rive

The original that this perfume clearly references is back in all the perfume trends for winter, and I decided to give it a spray in the perfumery for that reason. I found the original undeniably great, but the vanilla-almond composition made it quite heavy, undynamic, and old. It's actually a wonderful fragrance world, but more suited for my mother or grandmother than for me. However, since the scent didn't let go of me, I wanted to give it a chance without directly spending 50€ potentially in vain.

I acquired this fragrance twin (which is also very clear from the bottle) for 6 €. And I would easily pay double that. The vanilla is pleasantly creamy and heavy, but it doesn't hit you as hard (or rather, in the nose) as the original does. I do smell less almond here, but instead, coconut. Overall, it's very close to the original, a very rounded scent that resembles more of an EdT (though it is labeled as EdP) and is slightly lighter compared to the original EdT (which acts more like an EdP).

I love it - for me, it's better than the original! Younger, lighter, more dynamic!
