Ghost of Hypnotic poison

I live in Germany and this is discussed as a Hypnotic Poison Eau de Toilette dupe on several blog posts and videos. I love Hypnotic poison and tested the dupe while I was in the drugstore. So it's currently really cold and humid just for consideration and I have rather dry skin. I sprayed twice on my wrist and first was just the scent of alcohol. I expected this from a very cheap product. A minute later there was a faint sweetness and it slowly resembled Door's HP. There is nothing much to say. Projection next to non, no Sillage and the scent was gone after an 1 hr. I mean this is sold as EDP. thee reality is rather a body splash. This perfume is so faint and watered down, that I am really disappointed. The performance is beyond weak compared to the original, but even if I didn't know the intoxicating HP, I wouldn't ever buy this fragrance.
In conclusion :It's a no. Not even if you're on a budget. It's a waste of money.
An alternative discussed was Kenzo Amour and I agree to the resemblance. Maybe try this out instead.

Budget friendly cozy embrace

I straight up love Dior Hypnotic Poison, but due to its longevity and nature of the scent (that vanilla almond combination) I end up spraying it more around the house. Dior fragrances are not cheap and I hate the idea of "wasting" my sprays around the house. Smelled this super cheap option on the supermarket, it costed me less than 6 euros. It's very synthetic, and at first seemed headache inducing. But eventually this passed and no more headaches for me.. It last very well on clothes so all my pijamas end up smelling like it. I honestly think it smells very simullar to the original but you can smell the difference in quality of ingredients.. But for 6 euros it's a great scent profile with great longevity.

The Light Seduction

When I saw that there is a Hypnotic Poison dupe from La Rive, I had to test it right away. So I went out and found it... I actually find the bottle quite pretty and of good quality... Then I sprayed the fragrance on myself, to be honest, I expected a bit more punch, but Sweet Hope is rather reserved, warm, vanilla, sweet, and sexy like the base of Hypnotic Poison after wearing it for hours.
I really like that because it makes it always wearable, even on warm summer evenings :) The longevity isn't that great, but for the price, I'm happy to reapply.

Younger than the Original

The original that this perfume clearly references is back in all the perfume trends for winter, and I decided to give it a spray in the perfumery for that reason. I found the original undeniably great, but the vanilla-almond composition made it quite heavy, undynamic, and old. It's actually a wonderful fragrance world, but more suited for my mother or grandmother than for me. However, since the scent didn't let go of me, I wanted to give it a chance without directly spending 50€ potentially in vain.

I acquired this fragrance twin (which is also very clear from the bottle) for 6 €. And I would easily pay double that. The vanilla is pleasantly creamy and heavy, but it doesn't hit you as hard (or rather, in the nose) as the original does. I do smell less almond here, but instead, coconut. Overall, it's very close to the original, a very rounded scent that resembles more of an EdT (though it is labeled as EdP) and is slightly lighter compared to the original EdT (which acts more like an EdP).

I love it - for me, it's better than the original! Younger, lighter, more dynamic!

The Most Beautiful Drugstore Fragrance

Every now and then, I stop by the drugstore to see if there’s something good at a low price. Unfortunately, I’ve rarely found anything worthwhile; most fragrances are of poor quality, headache-inducing candidates, too synthetic, too alcoholic, or have a longevity of just 2-3 hours. However, Sweet Hope is the best among drugstore fragrances for me. After a brief alcohol-heavy start, a beautifully soft, spicy, and cozy winter scent emerges, with enchanting almond and vanilla notes that simply make you feel good and brighten up the cold and dreary winter days.

I actually prefer the dupe to the original, as it doesn’t feel as heavy, deep, and old but is instead a bit less powerful yet softer and creamier. Unfortunately, the longevity isn’t very good, but for the price, it can easily be reapplied. I’m already looking forward to wintertime and cozy evenings with Sweet Hope. :)
