Not Very Regal
Based on the color scheme of the bottle/EDT and the cap, you can quickly recognize the inspiration here.
And the top note also clearly reminds one of the real king. Unfortunately, it comes across here as very one-dimensional and overpowering, which I don't really like. Blood orange with juniper, a bit sharp for me. I don't perceive amber at all, so why this name!?
I must say that I'm not a particular fan of D&G either; I just wanted to take a chance on this for the small price.
Sillage and longevity are quite decent for La Rive. Those who like the crown might find something to enjoy here, especially since the price is very reasonable. However, for me, it was still more of a misstep.
Oh yes, the EDT attacks the golden color at the edge of the sprayer on my bottle and dissolves it. In this regard, it's even a corrosive scent.
