Hats off, La Rive has really hit the mark for my nose. The scent starts sweet, slightly synthetic (but not disturbingly synthetic). The pepper is perfectly dosed to perceive a slight "tingle." Once the first impression fades, it becomes fruity, but not overly fruity, rather carried fruity. Cinnamon takes on the role of the pepper, and the now slightly resonating notes of vanilla and woods gradually take more and more of the foreground. When the final stage of vanilla with the woods is fully reached, it creates a real compulsion to keep smelling it on the wrist, addictive danger. It even smells more interesting to me than the EA-SWY, if not quite rounder, then more angular. It cannot compete with the longevity of the original. So what?! At a fraction of the price, you can spray it on as often as you like, allowing you to experience the individual phases more frequently. I’m already looking forward to when it gets cooler again and I can wear the scent more regularly.
And don't be mad at your ladies if they want to wear it too.
The bottle is simple but beautiful.
The longevity is in the middle range.
The scent is really pleasant and enticing.
Unbeatable price-performance ratio. (As known from La Rive)
Recently, I was traveling for work (staying in hotels 2-3 times a month, sometimes in very rural areas) and forgot my usual fragrance at home.
There was a dm nearby, so I went there with the goal of finding something to "get me through the next day" without spending too much.
The Heroic Man caught my attention; it’s great for winter and will stay at my workplace for now. Its longevity is decent for the price (about 3 hours on me, but I can always reapply, and it won’t be my everyday scent), but by spring, I’ll switch to something else - it’s just a sweet winter fragrance.
