Great as a dupe

Good SWY dupe, yet less boozy, and of course less longevity.

I think La Rive did great on this one, smells way better that its price, warm, cozy, amazing to spray on sweaters on winter, I tried this one form fall to now, and it's been a pleasant surprise, Longevity is as expected from a product on this price range, but amazing results when sprayed on clothes, as I said, when sprayed on a sweater or on a scarf, this will last for a good while.

Just beware, don't overspray otherwise it can become a little cloying or loud.

Great for winter afternoons/nights.

Klassischer Fall von viel Duft für wenig Geld .Heroic Man erinnert mich sofort an Invictus von Paco Rabanne , diese süß-fruchtige Frische in der Kopfnote ist fast identisch. Es geht direkt los mit etwas Zitrus, leicht aquatisch, dazu ein süßlicher Unterton, der sofort ins Auge bzw in die Nase sticht.

Im Verlauf wird der Duft etwas wärmer, holzig, bleibt aber insgesamt sehr jung und sportlich. Ein typischer Club-Duft laut, auffällig, modern – aber auch etwas synthetisch, was man in dieser Preisklasse halt merkt.

My bottle of Heroic Man really surprised me in a positive way, because I think the fragrance is really successful. It quickly becomes clear that they wanted to go in the "Stronger with You" direction. Nevertheless, my colleague at work asked me why so many young men (want to) smell so sweet these days, because she doesn't find it very masculine. The longevity on my skin is absolutely fine at 7 to 8 hours in this price category and the sillage is not a disappointment either, especially at the beginning.

I don't really recognize the top note indicated in the fragrance pyramid. It starts off very sweet and gourmand with lots of caramel and candy sugar. However, there is also a subtle alcoholic synthetic note. The heart note remains sweet thanks to toffee, but is also oriental and spicy with aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, chestnuts, gingerbread and allspice. The base remains sweet and is caressed by indefinable woody notes.

I believe that with Heroic Man I have now found a fragrance from La Rive that is really really good in my eyes and that I have little to complain about. Therefore, the bottle can stay with me for everyday use.

Stronger with Heroic?

I saw this fragrance on a drugstore tour in fall 2023. As I like to test my way through the cheaper fragrances, I sprayed it on and let it take effect. The first thought was wow with its sweet-spicy fragrance composition, it is both invigorating and calming. The base of vanilla, amberwood and guaiac wood gives the perfume a warm depth. It is said that this fragrance is similar to "Armani Stronger with you". I can say that it reminded me of it in the opening. But I also think that it has its own DNA that makes it stand out. But let's get back to it: the longevity is remarkable, with a presence that lasts for several hours. The sillage is strong enough to be noticed without being overwhelming.
The price-performance ratio of Heroic Man is excellent. I can fully recommend this fragrance from my side.

SWY for secondary school.

It's quite well made, especially for the price. La Rive always convinces with the top notes, which smell really good and are very close. But the original is more mature, more complex and, above all, more magical, and after 30 minutes on the skin it becomes quite flat, like the earth for some. It's still clearly perceptible, but there's no real steam under the hood, the deep DNA is there, but the depth is missing. I'm not really convinced. Especially because you can get the SWY for as little as 40 euros. I'm not so critical of class B Freshies, you can just slap them on during sports or after a shower. I miss the area of application a little here. But it's great for teenagers.
