Solare - SoNett

White sand and sea instead of garden:
"Finally relaxation in the sun!",
That's what I think, but the joy
Of being freshly creamed still waits.

The light is initially blinding bright,
Drilling mercilessly into my brain.
I pull my glasses from my forehead
Down to my eyes quickly.

I breathe in and close them,
Searching for relaxation in the breeze,
That drives the scent of white blossoms.

And that of children next door:
Vanilla ice cream and Capri Sun.
Relaxation, a pious wish, probably remains.

I think it's better than you do, but for this nice review, a trophy is in order! 馃憤

...when the scent is just too sweet ;-)

Yes, something like that could really brighten the mood in winter :-) Unfortunately, these 'beach scents' are not for me, for the reasons you mentioned - plus, I usually don't like coconut.

It's definitely sweeter than my usual taste, but for this type, it's actually moderately sweet. I expected worse, especially combined with the vanilla that I usually don't care for. Other sunscreen scents are usually much sweeter, denser, and heavier, almost suffocating. This one is even a bit fresh (that mentioned breeze). If that sharp chemical undertone didn't immediately trigger a noticeable migraine behind my eyes, I might actually feel like taking this affordable last-minute trip 3-4 times a year. :)

What a lyrical gem! A sonnet for the lovely Solaire. I still need to test it; it's already ready as a blind buy. But I'm being a bit cautious now ;-)
