Images from the Stained Glass of the Small Church
The hatch of my attic faces west. Sleeping, it stares at the blind stained glass of the small church. It is my window to the perception of the world. In the morning, the rays of the deep sun shimmer in it, dazzling my gaze as the color sparks begin to flicker, silhouettes swim sharp as camphor at the edges of the glass, pepper bursts powdery like dust in the light, fresh fennel flutters citrusy-woodsy over the walls of my attic, incense wobbles like water reflections through the chamber, droplets of bright resin dance before my eyes, ice blue, yellow and green, everything is still a cool kaleidoscope of bright clouds rolling through misty mountain forests.
Soon the stars rise higher, the images in the stained glass become denser, knotty riverbed herbs mix with the fog, which now flickers darker through the chamber, dim and Somali sharp.
The planet now turns the stained glass further, the images within grow warmer, woods rise in the drizzling fog of incense, first cedars, before later the evening amber in the west paints the walls of the chamber and reddish light breaks through the stained glass onto earthy-balsamic guaiac beams. Now the sacristan has opened the church doors to the west, and the red rays of amber fall horizontally into my world.

With "Sacreste," Luca Maffei ("1..1" by Nobile 1942, "Odori d'Anima - Archetipo" by Mendittorosa) has created an incense fragrance that initially presents itself bright and sharp, but soon descends increasingly into reddish warm, resinous depths, without losing its peppery sharpness or becoming sweet. The projection is rather strong for the first hour before the scent retreats closely, where it remains well perceivable for me for another seven to eight hours.
