Underrated fragrance

I'm glad that I decided to buy this, and honestly thinking about it now it's such a random fragrance for me to own since I don't own any other fragrances from the line or even the house of Cerruti, and this is such an obscure fragrance that I never see anybody talking about, and according to Parfumo only 12 users have it. It's honestly one of the more unique summer fragrances that I own, it kind of has this tropical vibe, there's also something that reminds me a little bit of sun tanning lotion, and it's overall just a fun and fresh summer fragrance, I think it has a little bit more going on for it than Versace Man Eau Fraiche too, which is one of those 2000s summer freshie staples.

You Are Summer, My Summer

I’m writing this comment not because there isn’t one yet, but because this flanker is, contrary to all flankers in our perfume world, one that is not only better than the original but also the best summer fragrance I have ever discovered.

By pure chance, alongside the original, I thought I’d upgrade your summer scents, which were not that numerous at the time.

Admittedly, the fragrance pyramid was not necessarily a motivation to take the plunge, but I immediately noticed tomato leaf, as this exotic note appears in quite a few well-known and also lesser-known fragrances, e.g. Joop! What about Adam, L'Uomo Trussardi, CK In2U, Iluminum Tomato Leaf, or to mention a women’s fragrance, 1881 Fraîcheur d'Été.

To what extent this leaf influences the scent, I can’t even say, as at the beginning the fragrance is very aquatic, fresh, and spicy. Without knowing the fragrance pyramid, I could have sworn there was a very prominent vetiver note, but I must hold back according to the guidelines above.
Bergamot and rhubarb work wonderfully together; in a few moments, the citrus note weakens, and violet stands out. However, this phase is very floral, and since I can’t quite say how frangipani smells, it is said to be very addictive. I believe that this blend of rhubarb, frangipani, and wisteria, which also has an exotic touch, makes this fragrance a hit at this moment.
Progressively woody, the fragrance gradually becomes more masculine, and just before the dry down, the soft sweet tonka note mixes with the already sweet scent of sandalwood. I could honestly smell like this for the rest of my life. I’ll refrain from saying that this fragrance makes me dream of 30 degrees in the shade and umbrella drinks on terraces over cliffs in front of turquoise blue seas, aahhh!

Since this fragrance is not available everywhere, I can’t encourage you to buy it blindly. Moreover, Cerruti has not only 1881 Fraîcheur d'Eau but also the confusingly similar 1881 Eau d'Été 2004 pour Homme, which not only has the exact same bottle but smells completely different.

I have three summer fragrances that I simply cannot do without, and this one is the most essential for me.

The longevity is really impressively high for a summer fragrance; it only starts to fade after 6-7 hours for me.
The sillage is good but not overwhelming.

We all know the bottle; anyone who knows 1881 pour Homme will recognize this one too, only the liquid color is light green.

It’s a shame that it’s so rare; it’s a fragrance I would truly recommend to any summer fragrance lover. I’m overjoyed to own it.
