Lalique White Lalique 2008 Eau de Toilette

After the numerous positive comments, here’s a somewhat critical one: Inspired by all the praise, I was close to making a blind purchase. However, by chance or effort, I managed to get a fragrance sample (in my case: thank goodness!):

I am not a perfume expert and thus only share my personal opinion: To me, the scent smells absolutely and distinctly too FEMININE (the heart note = violet, comes through strongly!), for a men’s fragrance. While certainly pleasant, it’s more suited for a woman than for me. If I were to enter an office where this scent lingered in the air and was waiting for an unknown person whose gender I did not know, I would definitely expect a woman (around 30-40 years old).

Of course, tastes vary and that is completely legitimate.

I just wanted to provide a different perspective in case someone is faced with the decision and possibly a blind purchase... ;o)

Note: To perhaps better categorize the scent... I still have a sample of L'Eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake here and the scent is strikingly similar! So if you can’t find Lalique - White at your local perfumery (because it’s damn rare), just look for L'Eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake... if you like that, you can buy White without hesitation :o)
