Very Short-Lived Lemon-Pepper Blend

Through Encre Noire and Encre Noire Sport, I first became aware of Lalique. And the two excellent fragrances made me crave more. Since the White is said to smell similar to Penhaligon's Opus 1870, I quickly got a sample for testing.

The beginning is beautiful and fresh. Lemon paired with pepper (not too much pepper for me). I love this combination. In particular, I have now discovered through countless tests that I am a fan of pepper in fragrances. Well, as I said, a wonderful start...

...after that, unfortunately, one must realize that not much more comes. Now, after a good five hours, I smell nothing anymore, really nothing, even though I "drenched" myself this morning with a lot of (!!!) sprays. Even during the spraying, it was noticeable that the scent is very weak. Hardly any sillage and very poor longevity.

It's a shame really, as the opening is very promising. Off the watchlist...

That's true, for the low price you get amazing quality. It's hard to believe, but I can still clearly smell White on my arm after 24 hours. That's incredible, especially for this type of fragrance!

@Couchlock: I also have to revise my comments on the longevity. My previous assessment was clearly due to adaptation, as I wore it again in the last cool weeks and it lasted a full 8 hours. So overall, it's a very good fragrance - currently even ridiculously cheap.

Strange, for me the scent has an enormous longevity.

That's totally crazy, I can still smell the scent in the evening after applying it in the morning, and my surroundings confirm it too... but I have to say that I always spray a bit on my tie as well :-)

I can understand your disappointment. It doesn't last on me either.
