At the start, I can perceive all the listed notes (there aren't many) right away.
A deep, dark rose, a bit of cocoa powder, and also a sour currant.
Shortly after, the rose and the currant take center stage. It is definitely not a fresh-floral rose. It is a mysterious, dark rose. The currant flashes up now and then, scattering a bit of acidity.
After a while, the currant bids farewell, leaving behind the rose, which has been sprinkled with some bitter cocoa powder.
The scent becomes more powdery, settling on the skin: like a black velvet dress.
For me, it is definitely not a daily scent. It can be wonderfully worn on a date, or generally when going out. In everyday life or for the office, it would be too much.
The sillage is really good in the first 2-3 hours. It can quickly become over-applied, as the scent is so powdery. After that, it becomes a bit softer, but is still well perceived by others.
It lasts a good 8 hours on me, but fortunately, it is not constantly so overpowering.
The first few minutes after spraying, it is almost too much for me, even though I like it.
I think it is not necessarily something for very young ladies. At least I know that I personally would not have liked it at 20, as it has something quite mature about it.
But of course, tastes vary, and if you are into dark, bitter, and slightly sour rose scents, you should definitely give it a try!
