Another minimally different version of a popular scent
La Nuit Trésor has some flankers that can stand on their own feet, and some that are only minimally different from the original. I generally think it's easy to burn out and get confused by too many very similar flankers, so I'm more drawn to those that keep a little of the original DNA, but also bring something new to the table.
LNT Le Parfum is only mimimally different from the original. I haven't compared them directly, but this scent feels really familiar. It has it all: A warm, sweet vanilla base, Lancôme's signature rose, berry notes, patchouli, and the intriguing smokiness that is so typical for this line. I'm a fan of that, so I can't hate this, and I can hardly imagine anyone who loves La Nuit Trésor will.
The main difference is a prominent blackcurrant note that especially stands out in the opening. It has a bit of a scratchy, green facet, as if some leaves were still attached to the fruit, but later it turns rich and juicy.
I don't really get the listed cocoa note here, honestly I would never have guessed it if I didn't read the list.
So, in my opinion this is a very nice scent that works perfectly well for evening wear or cold winter days, but I prefer the original LNT - and the wonderful, discontinued À La Folie version, the cherry-infused Intense, even the rosier (but otherwise quite similar) Dentelle de Roses. Le Parfum doesn't add anything I was missing to the collection.
