Dreamily Delicious Raspberry
I liked the original La Vie est belle from the very beginning. However, the scent was always a bit too much for me. Especially towards the end, a bitter, punchy vanilla note developed. That's why LVEB was only an option for me in the colder months. Now in March, it would be time to "store it away" until next winter.
Last week, the saleswoman at the perfume shop slipped a sample of Qui La vie est belle into my paper bag. So far, I found the annual reinterpretations quite nice, but none ultimately convinced me to buy. But with this one, it clicked right away.
Freshly sprayed, the scent immediately reminds me of the original LVEB. But then it quickly becomes fruitier and somehow lighter. And there it is, my LVEB for the warmer months from April to September. A floral, sweet scent that smells to me like delicious raspberries and ylang-ylang.
So it only took 2 days for me to return to the perfume shop to claim a beautiful, sparkling bottle as my own.
The longevity and sillage are very good for me and not as intense as the original. A successful scent for the anniversary of La vie est belle.

Very nicely described. I also like to use it in spring because it’s not as "overwhelming" as the original LVEB.

For me, the best designer release of the year. I agree with everything you've said, except that after testing it at the perfume store, I went back a few hours later to buy it the same day. :)
