Lip gloss with raspberry scent

I find this fragrance bears a strong resemblance to the original LVEB, yet I think it smells much more synthetic at first. On the skin, however, it smells more pleasant and smoother. The scent somehow reminds me a lot of a lip gloss, as it is so fruity-sweet. Nevertheless, I would recommend it if you are into distinctly sweet fragrances.

Successful Blind Purchase

Karstadt had sent me a discount voucher - and of course, I wanted to invest it in a fragrance.
Since I like La Vie est belle and its flankers, I reflected on the new Oui.
Unfortunately, there was no tester available in the store.
But since the flankers had not disappointed me so far, I also dared a blind purchase of the new Oui.
Besides, I like to surprise myself.
I hope for a similarity to the original, but with a certain something.
And the fragrance delivers on that.
The signature of the sweet, powdery original is unmistakable, but it gains flair and lightness from the fresh, sweet raspberry note that pleasantly brightens the scent.
Ylang is enchanting, yet remains ethereal - just like the gourmand notes.
The softly smoky finish is interesting and subtly elegant.
I say Oui to this approachable fragrance that conveys closeness.

Dreamily Delicious Raspberry

I liked the original La Vie est belle from the very beginning. However, the scent was always a bit too much for me. Especially towards the end, a bitter, punchy vanilla note developed. That's why LVEB was only an option for me in the colder months. Now in March, it would be time to "store it away" until next winter.

Last week, the saleswoman at the perfume shop slipped a sample of Qui La vie est belle into my paper bag. So far, I found the annual reinterpretations quite nice, but none ultimately convinced me to buy. But with this one, it clicked right away.
Freshly sprayed, the scent immediately reminds me of the original LVEB. But then it quickly becomes fruitier and somehow lighter. And there it is, my LVEB for the warmer months from April to September. A floral, sweet scent that smells to me like delicious raspberries and ylang-ylang.
So it only took 2 days for me to return to the perfume shop to claim a beautiful, sparkling bottle as my own.
The longevity and sillage are very good for me and not as intense as the original. A successful scent for the anniversary of La vie est belle.

I enjoyed wearing my sample, but I don’t think I’d splurge on a full size bottle. Although enjoyable, it wasn’t unique enough for my tastes.
