Very helpful Review
The Black-Golden Fragrance Book.....
Or olfactory literature at its finest.
With "Adeeb," I hold a thick book in my hands that has many exciting chapters. Already at the introduction to the content of the "tome," I feel the sensitivity of the "authors." It starts off very intriguingly and somewhat unusually, with lavender and orange as a combination. Here, almost with a detective's instinct, a trail has been laid that invites you to "read on"!
For the rose is already waiting in the background to connect with the duo. This trio now really gets going. ....But wait until it gets dark! The secrets of patchouli penetrate deep into the soul. Grounding, uplifting, and at the same time calming.
Then off we go into a fairy tale forest. The story of sandalwood and amber is told, which unite with fine musk.
"Between the lines," I catch a glimpse of frankincense and myrrh that seem to come from the tales of One Thousand and One Nights. This interesting "reading" is truly enjoyable. One hardly wants to put the book down. I want to learn more about the relationships between rose and lavender, a magnificent experience that is not written about everywhere.
About the connection of patchouli with sandalwood, a very mysterious affair!
And the significance of frankincense and myrrh.. (One might consult literature on ancient fragrance preferences) but a slightly mystical aura is clearly recognizable, surrounding the entire scent.
I now set the thick book aside for a moment to simply enjoy the beautiful experiences so far. "Reading on" will happen elsewhere, and my report may be expanded and/or supplemented, surely there are more exciting lines to come :-))
