Oud for Glory Lattafa

Hello everyone,

thanks to my dear friend M50, I became aware of this fragrance.
Since I already know the expensive counterpart, I wanted to test it to form my own opinion about the highly praised dupe.
And one thing upfront, without exaggeration: It is really well made!

I sometimes wonder what some perfume houses think when they charge such high prices for fragrances that could obviously be much cheaper. When you know the price of the original and compare it to the price of Oud for Glory, you understand what I mean.

About the scent & bottle:
It starts off quite spicy and sweet at the same time.
Saffron and nutmeg are clearly noticeable and a bit piercing if you get too close with your nose.
But just like with most fragrances that are in some way oudy, resinous, or woody, I prefer the aura that is created rather than smelling the scent up close.
With the musk and patchouli, a balsamic sweetness joins in, and the fragrance becomes much rounder and more harmonious for me overall.

At this point, a small recommendation: Definitely use it for layering!

Lattafa gets a lot right here. The bottle looks very elegant and high-quality and is also beautifully packaged.
Unfortunately, the sprayer is catastrophically bad, but there has to be some catch at this price ;)

Regarding longevity and sillage, it cannot quite keep up with the original.
H is better here than S.
But that's not so bad; you just spray it 1-2 times more ;)

Overall, we have a nice fragrance here that you can get for little money and that is very close to the original. I would say the fragrance DNA is 90% identical.

In summary, it's a prime example of: Minimal effort, maximum reward :)
