Short Affair
I had heard about Yara for quite some time.
Since I have been reducing my social media consumption for a while now (I don't use TikTok at all), I initially didn't fall for the hype surrounding this fragrance.
A good friend of mine bought the scent and has now stored it in her car as a fragrance for on-the-go (let's not debate this form of perfume storage here).
When I was sitting in her car, I took the opportunity to sniff the bottle and was immediately taken with it. So I sprayed it on and my nose was glued to my wrist the whole time. I was totally enchanted by this powdery-sweet creation.
I really liked the scent a lot. The gourmand notes, the tropical fruits. A bit too kitschy-young, but totally my style.
I then quickly acquired it for myself, but unfortunately fell out of love just as quickly. There’s something about the fragrance that bothers me. Something that bothers me about most Lataffa scents. A kind of piercing synthetic note that, although only temporary, unfortunately ruins the fragrance for me. Something that reminds me of packaging from abroad and plastic - a beige scent that doesn’t belong.
Hard to describe, anyway the fragrance has now moved on and hopefully will be loved longer there.
